JohnCovach Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 If you have a copy of the current Vintage Guitar Magazine (March, George Benson interview, SG's on the cover), turn to page 109 and identify the guitar Tom Hemby is playing in the ad on the right side of the page.
SouthpawGuy Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Don't have that mag but I do have Google ... This one ? Maybe a Groove Master ? Linkey: http://www.christianmusic.com/tom_hemby/tom_hemby.htm
JohnCovach Posted January 23, 2010 Author Posted January 23, 2010 OK I looked. Could be a Eagle?? If you still want to guess, do not look at the pictures below! A better version of the one used in the ad: A better angle on the guitar:
fxdx99 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Good eye, John. I read that cover to cover and usually on the lookout for Heritage in media, but missed that one.
Kuz Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Did we figure out which Heritage model it is? SWEET looking axe.
Steiner Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Either that's one BIG boy or a 16" lower bout making it either a sweet 16 or 575. Edit: It appears he is additionally playing through a Heritage amp.
Gitfiddler Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Looks like a 16" bout Eagle Custom with Sweet 16 split block inlays and rounded Venetian cutaway. Whatever, it's very nicely done custom job. He looks like he's in pure heaven playing it too!
