kath Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 [atta chment=5744:029.JPG][attachmen t =5747:032.JPG] Here is my collection of my Heritage Guitars. Two golden eagles and one Kenny Burrell Tell me what ya think???? The two pickup version is like a Byrdland. It is about 2.5 inches thin. Both of the Golden Eagles have Burnt Amber back and sides. Absolutely stunning!! Notice the toggle switch cover plate on the first golden. It is just like the old gibson. Both of the Eagles were custom made for me. Allan
tulk1 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Just the three of them? ............... All beauties, for sure! I don't know whats what, but I like the one with the wooden tailpiece. Very nice.
FredZepp Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Verry Nice. Those look like a joy to play. I'd grab that 2 pu Eagle first, .... I think. They are all quite inviting...

zydecosoultrain Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 looking good, and Welcome I think you will like it here Hello Kath, Seems like you have close to the best of the Heritage lineup. I'd really appreciate your views on the differences between playing the Golden eagle and the Kenny Burrell. Are there major differences in the tone and overtones between the two? Which do you think is better suited to jazz? Is the Kenny Burrell as comfortable to play as the Golden eagle? Wow, beautiful guitars! Thanks for the pictures. Greg
rjsanders Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 i'd love to have a Prof. Kenny. someday. so, if you're a Kath fan, you might be on the lookout for a nice H-170... welcome
brentrocks Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 is your flourentine cutaway Eagle 23.5 scale?
kath Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 is your flourentine cutaway Eagle 23.5 scale? Honestly do not know. when I ordered it I didn't specify any particular scale. Ordered it direct from Heritage with Bill. Vince got involved after he came on board. It is a very long story. Allan

Got my first Heritage back in the late 80's. Terry Kath would practice all day while the other members would venture out. Terry also was influenced by Wes Montgomery. Its not your guitar, its your playing that matters!!! Allan

My first one was a 1967 G 335 TDC. My ex sold it for $250.00 in 1987. Bought it in 1968 for $350.00. I had 2 PRS customs and others but always came back to the hollows.
