Herigrosh Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Even though what I got for it was worth a significantly larger amount of money. In that picture especially. Wallpaper worthy for sure. We coulda had some life together that guitar and I. Too bad I go through guitars like Tiger Woods goes through starstruck floozies. I'm happy with what I ended up with but just looking at that picture causes me to reflect.
Administrator Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 It is a beauty. Had HRW pickups it looks like.
tulk1 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Tsk tsk tsk! Seller's Remorse. Gee, never seen that occur before. Not around here! Yep, you had a beauty there.

smurph1 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Quick question..What did you get in exchange for that beauty?
mark555 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Did Tiger ever make it to the 18th? I'll put money on it that he did.... And went for a second round after lunch....
Mikenov Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 New screen saver. Thanks. Did Tiger ever make it to the 18th? Ha ha!!
Herigrosh Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 Quick question..What did you get in exchange for that beauty? Grosh Retro Classic. Which I in turn traded for: Soloway Swan The Grosh was great but the Soloway Swan (the last pic) is one of the single greatest sounding guitars I've ever laid my hands on. I couldn't be happier with what I ended up with but you can understandably see why I'd miss that Heritage by looking at that picture. Here's another pic of the Heritage.
Quantum Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Oh my! Every single one of those is an absolute beauty! I love guitars with exposed wood grain - something natural and organic looking about them. But that last one is an absolute stunner! Haven't heard of the make before, time to do some googling...
Lionheart Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I dunno man, I've only sold a guitar of mine once. It was a 1986 Rick 4003 in midnight blue. I have replaced it with a 2003 Rick 4003, but the remorse I felt after selling it convinced me that I needed to be a little more picky with the guitars I've purchased, with the intent of never getting rid of them. It *sucks* going through the remorse after getting rid of a guitar that you wished you still had. Especially if it's a guitar that you loved - in my mind, it's like chopping off a piece of your soul and giving it away. Guitars are tools of expression, after all.

blueox Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Sounds like it's time to go shopping for another Heritage. There are many to choose from.

I sold my MIM Strat a few months ago to fund my first Tele purchase (MIA). It was the guitar I learned on....I'd had it maybe 8 years or so (a long time when you're 25!). Now I'm selling my Gretsch 5122 to fund my first Heritage (a 535, yay!).....the Gretsch is the guitar I played my first gig on. That one might be a little emotional. TStill, I'm sure that plugging in my new 535 will make me feel all better
smurph1 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 that Grosh Retro Classic is a beauty!!..Probably the perfect "yang" to my 140 "ying"..Just Gorgeous!!
