I've gotten tubes from him before. I got a bunch so I haven't placed an order with him for a while. Back when I placed my order they were still only doin the orders over the phone! Talked to him though, really nice guy. Very knowledgeable too.

Ready for this? I bought my first Heritage Guitar from Doug's Tubes. Yep! Don't even recall the amp I was ordering tubes for. Was just looking thru his site, saw the guitar and had to have it. ;) It was this one:

I ordered tubes from Doug's tubes http://www.dougstubes.com/index.html

and they arrived two days later intact. Doug was very helpful with picking what I needed.

I would highly recommend him for your tube needs.

I've ordered from Doug's before as well, also a big fan of TubeDepot.com; if I can't find it between those two then it just might no longer be findable...

Just ordered a rectifier tube for my Ampeg J20, went with a JJ/Tesla GZ34 as it came well spoken for in the ampeg forums

Still pondering changing out preamps as well... tempted by Telefunkens, but the Mullard Reissue ecc83/12ax7 have peaked my interest a bit (can't beat the price difference!)
