1ply Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I confess that although I am a member of the forum, I am probably the least knowledgeable member. Could someone explain the Kenny Burrell model for me? For example, there is one in the Heritage Owners Market place. http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/i...?showtopic=7644 I don’t see this model listed on Heritages web site. I have looked under solid body, semi-hollow body, hollow body and Heritage guitars no longer in production. I have googled this model and have found that Heritage lists the Kenny Burrell Signature Model 18”, the Kenny Burrell Concert Master 18” and the Kenny Burrell “Groove Master” 16 at http://www.heritageguitar.com/hrw_pickups.html . I understand that these have the Heritage premium HRW pickups. Is this guitar at in the Heritage Owners Market place a “Groove Master 16” with Heritage Premium HRW pickups? How are the uninitiated supposed to figure this out? Collings guitars offer many different models with many different options but IMHO, its site explains things much more clearly. Am I missing something? Thanks, Rip
smurph1 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Welcome aboard 1ply..I don't know much about that particular model, but hang in there..i'm sure an answer is forthcoming...
BrianToth Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 It's a Kenny Burrell Groovemaster Here's the page: http://www.heritageguitar.com/models/groovemaster_specs.html
Dick Seacup Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Am I missing something? Can't answer your questions about the KB, but I know there are several here who can. As to your last question, the answer is, "Not really." If the factory site had all the information one could want the HOC might never have gotten off the ground. So...mixed blessing, I guess. At any rate, the factory site, recently updated, is a fair bit better than it used to be (if you can imagine that). Hang tight for a bit, you'll get answers, I guarantee it!
1ply Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 Thanks for the kind responses. If I understand this correctly, the Kenny Burrell Groove Master is the same as a Groove Master. What is the Heritage Super KB? Is it the Kenny Burrell Signature Model 18” or the Kenny Burrell Concert Master 18”? Peace, Rip
