SouthpawGuy Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Has anyone any recommendations for some Grover replacement tuner buttons ? I'm having a hard time keeping the standard buttons tarnish free and I hate grubby tuners. If you have pics of your geetars with replacement buttons please feel free to post them.

SouthpawGuy Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 here ya go man...you can thank me later..... So are you going with those on the 137DCBR ?
DC Ron Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Have you tried chrome grovers instead of nickel or gold? Nickel tarnish is cool but DEFINITELY an acquired taste and gold sadly-but-inevitably fades. But chrome is forever. I like the idea of wood buttons. I've used pearl buttons as well and like them. On the one hand it's the MUSIC that counts. On the other hand (and I'm in this camp), if it looks good then I pick it up more. Good luck!
DeLorean Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 AllParts has Grover replacement buttons, in many materials and a few different shapes.

SouthpawGuy Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 So does anyone have any personal experience with Allparts, or other manufacturers', replacement buttons ? Did they fit ok, too big, too small, looked good, looked cheap, etc. etc ??? Did I mention that pics would be good ?
SouthpawGuy Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 That seems like a good source , some here... Allparts buttons Some large or small ebony for Grovers... Do the large and small buttons fit the same standard size tuner ? Or are they for different size tuners ?
DeLorean Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 We have put them on customers' guitars (by request), they fit and look great. I don't have pictures handy, sorry. One customer is getting the pearloid buttons on the fifth guitar getting customized recently (bone nuts, TonePros bridges, and four of the five have gotten SD Fat Cats).
smurph1 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 here ya go man...you can thank me later..... SWEEEETTT!!!! I WANT SOME!!!
FredZepp Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Single ebony tuning machine button (no screw) for regular Grover Rotomatics. Similar in size and shape to the metal buttons, but not exactly the same (for example - no collar on the bottom of the button). Will not fit Mini Rotomatics. Being a product made by hand from wood, the color, size, and shape vary slightly ELDERLY ebony button
