RhoadsScholar Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I was able to sell my Jolly Green Giant guitar Green H-150 (thanks to BRETROCKS) and bought a 1985 H-170 that I had been in communication with the seller off and on for months. I had always wanted a 1st year of production 170 (B Serial number). I got the 1st H-170 chambered in gold a couple years ago when Heritiage introduced it. I love the shape. This guitar is a great flamey Cherry Sunburst. I took it to my guitar tech for a once over and a set up and guess what. The black speed knobs on it GO TO ELEVEN ! How cool is that. My other guitars with speed knobs only go to 10. This thing Rawks ! I'll have to post pictures later in the week. Just curious, do your knobs go to Eleven ?
Dick Seacup Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 The ones on my H-170 don't. But, it does have a Tonesucker!!! Oh, and...
mars_hall Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Just curious, do your knobs go to Eleven ? If I twist 'em hard enough
rooster Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Just curious, do your knobs go to Eleven ? All 3 of my H150s are equipped with knobs that go to 11. It's a requirement, otherwise I won't know where my volume is at. I mean, since the guitars by their very nature go to 11 (as Heritage guitars should!), if the knobs didn't, I'd have to constantly running calculations in my head as to where my volume was at, while trying to play a club gig and drink whiskey at the same time. That's too much work. It's much easier with the correct knobs. rooster

FredZepp Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I really should learn how to actually quote somebody... Eventually... perhaps..
RhoadsScholar Posted February 14, 2010 Author Posted February 14, 2010 hope i did this right. the flame is much more stunning in person. The back and neck have no wear signs. A couple spots on the top need to be touched up (excuse to go back to the factory for Ren's pickups and maybe a flame pickguard) hope this works
FredZepp Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 yeah, that one is really nice. And with a cool Stinger also. A 1985 ... that is special. That one looks like it rocks...
