Dyzaster Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 first of all everyone, my names devin and i have a transparent green h-140 i bought last year. according to the serial number thing its a 98, the 7th guitar made on january 12th. ill be moving from my hometown near pittsburgh PA to hollywood to attend musicians institute in a little under 1 month and unfortunatly i dont think this will be making the trip, i have too many guitars. i was wandering if anyone would know the current value of it so that i can get some extra money for my move. thanks everyone!
big bob Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 what color is the back, fret ware? condition? cracks dings dents more info and pics.. I would guess around 800.00 but would go up or down on condition and back color
Dyzaster Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 the back is the same as the front. and as far as condition its in good condition with the usual gig wear on it. i never really bothered babying my guitars. i bought them to use. so its got some buckle scuffs on the back of it as well as a few pick scratches. but all in all i'd say its in good conditon
big bob Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 98 green back and neck, good condition. I'm gonna put it around 800.00 Brent would know better, It would go higher with a natural back.
brentrocks Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Hello and welcome!!! i would have to see more detailed pics of the wear, etc....sounds like its been gigged heavily. $500-$800 with OHSC, if there are no cracks/repairs, major chips.

On a serious note, you may well regret getting rid of this guitar in the years to come, we here are already talking about guitars made at this time as the Golden Era of Heritage. I would keep it myself.

I would keep it myself. it is a beautiful guitar. i just dont have the space for it, its going to be a pain to move 9 guitars and a 212 amp from pittsburgh to LA haha. i have to cut down for now. i hate to let it go, but ive got what i need in my les paul for school btw thank you everyone who posted about this it helped me out.
mark555 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Speaking of... I never get tired listening to this: Based on that clip, which I have never seen before, I will offer £10 to any one who will sell me a 140 or a 150, but that must include shipping to England and insurance thrown in.
