I've been listening to Muthspiel a lot lately. What a player! Really dig the records he did with Brian Blade.

I recorded those with my Axe-FX preamp direct to the board. I'm now using the Axe-FX with a power amp and isolation recording cabinet, so I can now get much better results than those. I haven't recorded anything yet with the Millie that way, but I'm in the middle of making an album this month as part of the RPM Challenge, and I'm planning on doing a fusion-y sort of thing with the Millie as part of it. I'll probably record it next week.

 

The Millie absolutely rocks in a fusion context and will handle anything from ultra-clean to super-saturation. Despite its traditional look, it's actually the most versatile guitar I own.
