BrianToth Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 When I picked up my Prospect at the factory Ren Wall told me that they did indeed use GHS strings to "keep the business in the neighborhood". I specified exactly what gauge I wanted it set up with and that's what they gave me.
blues Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 Cool I used GHS years ago. I think they were called boomers. I think there was a nickle plated set that GHS made too. I will have to check it out.
blues Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 I checkout the GHS website. I think I have it narrowed down to two sets of .010s
tulk1 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I like GHS Progessives. One of the few strings out there that don't turn my finger tips black. Not too many shops carry them around here anymore. Not sure why.
ronalr Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I got this email from Marty Klepper at GHS strings when I sent them an email asking about Heritage string gauge for my 535 "Ron. My best guess is the GBL set. That is 10-46. And After looking at their past orders It appears they order the DY series more than anything else. Marty" and this came back from Heritage when I asked what came from the factory on my 535 "GHS 10/46 set" Hope this helps
blueox Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 GHS Strings are made in Battle Creek, about 25 miles east from the Heritage factory.
