So, anyone else got a Custom Prospect, or just a really nice Prospect they'd like to toss in here? Would love to them. Not comparing ... well, yeah, I would be. But mostly to see them. The Prospect is my fav Heritage guitar, no doubt! Would love to see them all.

Hey Kenny who did you order it through. Maybe I should be talking to them and not Jay?

Bob Moggio, Mojosmusic in Edwardsville, Il. I got my H535 from him, and ordered the Millie NFH thru his shop. I've posted a few NAMM guitar pics of his. And I think it was MacDoggie, (i think) that got a guitar from him, as well. He always does me right. Doesn't carry a boat load of H's, altho' he's always got a few tasty ones on the rack. And I know he'll give HoC'ers a great deal. The boys know him fairly well, too.

And just an FYI, my local Mom/Pop - Guitar Source - just became Heritage dealers. And I know! they would make some great deals on ordered Heritages right now.

+1 for Bob!

I scored a wonderful H-150 Goldtop P90 from him. VERY sweet deal.

Gits, maybe you're who I was thinking of. Went in looking for an ASAT Spalted? Came out with the H150?

If this had a Heritage neck...I would go spalted.

Have we ever seen Spalted from the 'zoo? Can't recall. Not a huge fan of it, myself. But I have a luthier bud that really likes it. And I've seen some G&Ls with it that weren't too bad. Hmmm, a Spalted Prospect Custom --- :P

BTW, put the new Prospect thru the AC30CC1 (which is really my fav amp) and lordy!! did it just sing. Amazing cleans, grit when pushed. The neck pup is warm without being boomy. The bridge got really single coily sounding, too. Not Tele-singley, but def not HB sounding. If that makes sense.

Having trouble with the knobs, tho'. With the new, stiffer pots the top hats aren't as easy to use. Thinking amber speed knobs. Had to do that to the LPC way back when. What thinks y'all?

Spalted Maple can look pretty sweet. I'd like to see Heritage put something out with it. Ibanez has a few semi-hollow spalted maple models but I prefer it on solid body gits...like this Giffin Standard (Cross between a thick LP '59 w/PRS shape)...

Imagine a 150 or 157 with that top! :P

Kenny, that is a great guitar. I love seeing an individual guitar that is different to the norm, and what I really love about it, and I am probably one of the few here who think like this, is that the guitar doesn't have a stinger! I love to see the grain of the wood on the back of the head and neck. MY congrats to you on getting something so nice. Enjoy!

I would love to see a picture of the whole guitar, from the one above, it looks beautiful.

Kenny,

Don't know how close them Phatcats come the Lollars but I agree the Prospect sound great through a AC30 amp! My problem is I just have a Vox Valvetronic so I'm looking.

Benedetto has that spalted in production on that Benny which is a 150 looking carved spruce top on a hollowed out hog body. I took some shots of some other exotic tops in producton but why they drive the cost of a instrument up so much is just crazy.

I talked to Marvin Lamb at PSPII about doing a spalted H150 or H535. He said they have had trouble finding a big enough piece for the H535, but they could probably do it for the H150.

That's a great custom guitar I mean even the wood on the sides has amazing flame on it. Was wondering if you asked about binding the F-holes always thought it would be a kind of cool option IMHO. Great choice and have fun with that beauty.

LZ, thanks man. It truly is a beautiful work of art. And plays like holy moly!!! Did not ask about binding the f-holes. Never occured to me. I can say that I have played the snot out of that sucker since I got it. My fingers hurt. And I like this guitar more and more everytime I plug 'er in. This evening I cranked up the 5E3 jumpered and let 'er rip. Wonderful stuff there, Maynard.

I also took it up to my local MnP today. They've just recently become Heritage dealers and haven't received their first order. I wanted to show them what a custom order can look like. Needless to say it was a hit. Maybe sometime I can do a clip or two. Even tho' I'm a bit shy about posting my playing ........... :icon_cat:
