RhoadsScholar Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Always been looking for a great travel guitar. I remember asking Marv Lamb on a visit to heritage if they ere going to make anymore of those red white and blue travel guitars (a couple years ago). there were a stack of the blanks sitting in the corner. From what I gather, those blanks were donated to a "Pens for Veterans" program to make wooden pens for the military service ( a cool idea). At the time Marv said if they custom made one, it would probably cost the same as a full size guitar. any way, I found one and it is on its way
FredZepp Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I have always loved the look of the back of the neck on these, it just looked like something cool to play.. nice grab there. I'm sure it will surprise you with what it can do.
mark555 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Do you travel much? John Mayall (of Blues Breakers fame) made his own by just chopping up a strat body down to as narrow as it could get....
hiro Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Cool . . . awesome . . . that is a great find! Although I couldn't chop any of my guitars for traveling, even if its a strat. I'd just get a el cheapo guitar to bring along in case the airlines get evil and force it into the crunch zone
chico Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 are you planning on swapping out that tailpiece? (just curious, I dont like those Schallers) nice grab. bring it to the PSP!
