You enablers! B)

I was just throwing this out there . . .

I know there are H170 / 137 double cutaway, but I really like the Millenium DC's shape, I saw two in Wolfe's and Brent's thread with the Millie DC' in the catalog. I've tried a 555 and 535 and they have great tones but I just love the heft, the solidness of the 150. And the Millie DC's shape is just appealing.

So I was thinking about getting a H150 with Seth Lover's cut in the Millenium DC's shape.

Another one is has anyone asked them to make Gibson LP signature models?

I was w/ a friend of mine, who has the Slash model LP, and it has an faux acoustic thing to it, pretty interesting. I showed him my H150, and he kept playing it and shaking his head, and he said he couldn't believe it for the price I had. When I left I could see the gears were turning in his head. But I liked that Slash model he had . . .

I was wondering can Heritage do something like Slash's signature model (no way I'm going to drop the 5K for what Gibson's asking for, and I don't need Slash's sig nor the Gibby headstock . . .) on a H150.

I noticed it has Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro II humbucker pickups (Seymour's site even has them as Slash's) but also adds a Fishman Powerbridge pickup (I think its the Tune-O-Matic Powerbridge Pickup) with the extra 3 position toggle switch in between the volume knobs.

If I wanted to do this, would I have to get the pickups and the Fishman and send it over to the factory?

here's a pic of the Slash model

Hiro,

I've ordered two custom models from them. My Millie DC NFH sounds a lot like what you were thinking of in a DC model. No F-holes gives it more of a solid body feel than a semi-solid. Think ultra-chambered. I would think that Seth's would be a doable option on a custom guitar. B)

On the Slash Siggy Model, I think they'd build you what you want in that model. Altho' honestly, I'd avoid mentioning you want them to reproduce a Gibs model guitar. But you could certainly take them the same specs. They used to have a Millie SAE model that had a LR Baggs transducer built in - I had one, sold it to a good friend here in the KCMO area. When I had the Prospect built, they weren't too keen on putting an acoustic transducer in it. But I think it was more the model than actually doing it. They did say if I purchased the unit and sent it to them they'd try to figure it out. But at a good upcharge. I opted out.

Thing is, they'll do just about anything on a custom order - that they can reasonably assure of doing correctly. And there's the key. Call them up and ask. Can't hurt. They'll either say Yes or No.

Some pics for you.

I always liked the look of the LP Signature so I had them make the following. It does have a dove inlay on the headstock that I designed. I know Heritage has used this on other peoples guitars as well. This guitar has inlaid logo with no binding on the headstock, Sperzels, Tom Holmes pickups, Thicker neck, plastic cream JS shape pickguard, bound f-holes, gold paint from Guitar Reranch, Trapezoid inlays, Walnut back and sides. This was built in 2008

Not to hijack the thread, but Welcome, Orangepicker!

How are you, Dennis?

Onangepicker - Nice Porn! Makes a guy want a 535.

Tulk, how do you ever get out of the house? I'd see those babies sitting there and cancel the work day: "Sorry boss, I've got other plans that just came up..."

Hiro - Heritage is additionally a custom shop. Get them measurements, material list and they'll build it. If you can, study the website and their 2010 price list so you can describe it in terms of their standard models with preferred variations. Then call them! It works!

Jon,

I appreciate that! And the one you'll eventually get to see ain't so bad, neither! ^_^ But I've got to fess up here. There are a couple of Prospects owned here that inspired mine. SPG has an absolute beauty!! And there's another that escapes me at the moment. But everytime I see it I get goosies. However, yeah, this one is just all that! Maybe more. Which shows what you can get when you custom order.

One thing that needs to be mentioned in a "custom order" thread: be sure to tell your dealer to tell the 'zoo that you're an HOC member. It carries some weight. Truly!
