Thundersteel Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Of course the 575 is the wrong axe heavy metal anyway. Very true! Someone at PSP II (I think it was Kenny?) was trying to play some Judas Priest on his, and it broke! Well, a string broke!
big bob Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Very true! Someone at PSP II (I think it was Kenny?) was trying to play some Judas Priest on his, and it broke! Well, a string broke! That was Me I lit into living after midnight and popped my G-string.. Man was I ever embarrassed!
LH575 Posted June 24, 2010 Author Posted June 24, 2010 Are you dorks really playing Priest in your jean shorts and tucked in short sleeve button downs. Jeesh.
big bob Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Are you dorks really playing Priest in your jean shorts and tucked in short sleeve button downs. Jeesh. You got it all wrong ... this was the band Bass rhythm guitar lead guitar tuning up after the show.. acoustic set..
FredZepp Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Of course the 575 is the wrong axe heavy metal anyway. I waiting for someone to disagree with that last point! Sometimes you're just in the groove .. hollowbody or not... heavy rockin' the Centurion... It's all just for fun..
Kuz Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Pictures or the 575 never got the bigsby.......... Come on the natives are restless!!!
Flat Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 The Bigsby-equipped Heritage I dream about is the H550 David Paul sig, like this one (via gbase at Wolfe Guitars). I run hot and cold on the master volume knob. Never tried one. Seems like a good idea, but I've never felt the need for a third volume knob. But I dig the overall vibe: the flamey blue! the Bigsby! Can I get a witness? -Flat
LH575 Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 Alright, The guitar is finished! It took a long time to book time with my local guitar guy to do the electronics for me. So, after all is said and done, here's what I did with it. 1. Installed locking chrome grovers, drop in replacement. 2. New chrome Lollar pickup covers for the humbucker shaped P90s 3. (and you guys are not going to like this one) 3 sound posts to control feedback. One under the bridge, one on either side of the pickups. 4. Graphtec nut 5. Tru-Arc Al bar bridge I was not sure about the sound posts, but they totally worked. Feedback is gone, but it still sounds like a hollowbody guitar. Sound? Sounds exactly what it looks like - 1/2 Gretsch + 1/2 Heritage. Photos later!
Halowords Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 If you've got a problem, and no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire . . . the A- Team! Sorry, it's the cigar. Heeeeeey . . . Is that a bottle of Bells'? And why do I feel like such a lush for recognizing that?
