Heading to Philtone guitar repair this morning

Taking the 575 to Phil Jacoby......heard about him from a HOC member here......to fix the electrical problem and set up the 575 with flat wound 11's and add a strap pin......will report back this afternoon.....I am able to wait while he does all the repairs and set up....looking forward to my 575 sounding even better!!!! :thumbsup:

I was just talking about him on the Ibanez Collectors World forum the other day - he made a replacement pickguard or a GB-10 and instead of plastic in the center used ebony, it was gorgeous. I was perusing his site

the other day and I am sure you will be in great hands.

I have heard nothing but fantastic reports about Phil Jacoby. He has a stellar reputation - look at his history! It's in good hands.

Just got back... but the 575 is staying with Phil....he is going to do a fret level and Plek it....full set up with new flat wounds .....also he said the wiring looked like someone had messed with it so he is redoing that and also adding a strap pin for me....should have it back by Saturday....really nice guy ...glad I found him......will let you know how she turns out Sat.

In some totally random way, that I unfortunately don't remember, I also heard extremely good things about Philtone. Unfortunately Ball'mer is a little bit of a hike from where I'm at. Sounds like you're in good hands, so I hope it all goes well.

sorry Fred...but I won't get it till Monday...the fret level is all done and the set up is perfect says Phil....but he did not have time today to finish the wiring...also needed a volume pot replaced...so about 2:00 Monday afternoon I should have it....and I promise to let you know how it all turned out :D

Certainly the wait to get it together "just right" is worth the delay.

You must be very eager to get it back.... it will be 100 % and that will be awesome.
