tbrosnan Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Hello Everyone - This is my first post as a new board member and on Friday I received delivery of my very first Heritage guitar! A beautiful 1986 Eagle. Photos to follow as soon as I stop playing it long enough to grab a camera. I'm playing it through an Egnater Rebel 20 and it sounds terrific. I'm adding the Heritage to my collection of axes that include a Gibson Les Paul, a PRS SC Trem, and a Fender American Strat - plus an assortment of other instruments. I'm looking forward to participating in the group and learning from you all. Regards, Tim
kath Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Welcome!! I am sure you will enjoy your Eagle. Keep us informed of how you like it. Allan
Dick Seacup Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 An early Eagle would be a very cool guitar to own. Welcome to The Club, Tim!

tbrosnan Posted March 8, 2010 Author Posted March 8, 2010 Hi All - Thanks for the kind words of welcome. I have a few pics to post but one that somewhat amazes me (after reading the Heritage history) is of the label inside the body. Hand signed in ink by Duerloo, Moats, Lamb, and Paige. I'm not sure if real people still sign the labels but this just struck me as a cool thing.... Tim
Gitfiddler Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Tim~ Nice photos of your Eagle. I bet she sings! As for the label signatures, that was done on many of the early editions of Heritage archtops, as well as on again, off again over the last few years with some models. From what I've seen, your Eagle is one of the oldest of that marque I've ever seen on this forum. Very nice score!
JeffB Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Nice. Welcome to the HOC. Thanks for the pics. Looks great.

hiro Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 from the LPPD information sheet on HOC: The HOC is an organized, international syndicate. Members are recruited from local shops selling Heritage. Heritage is manufactured in a old vacated guitar factory that was redesigned. Numerous attempts at shutting down this facility has failed, the street demand for Heritage is too much. We don't know exactly how members are brought in. There isn't active recruitment. We have theory that places of quality have Heritage and upon a persons first experience with Heritage, they are hooked. Then they are addicted. There have been reports where someone with a Heritage may share their stash at home or in parties to bring another into the fold, and get a good word to their dealer. Often times a Heritage dealer may direct them to the syndicate, or the potential member though various online search web portals, or by members directing the new initiate. Initiation involves lots of brain washing by constant access to Heritage. The more exposure, the more influenced and sway Heritage holds. HOC members think Heritage is the best thing and will do anything to get their fix. There may be gear swapping amongst them. Affiliation maybe with local members but often spans across state and country boundaries. Fanatical members may resort to tonal violence to push their radical beliefs of high quality at stolen goods prices. Be sure to use properly issued Nashville gear, and limit exposure when dealing with HOC members. We won't sugar coat this, several LP officers have been lost or swayed by HOC zealots.
rjsanders Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 tim, welcome & congrats hiro, that was most amusing (& truesome)
