herve Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 hi everybody very happy to be here and few words from a "bloody french" with a Wonderfull H140 CM in fact it' s a second chance story i was in a shop in Paris to change my tunner with a bad battery problem and a lot of people was before me and my eyes was in front of 5 or 6 second hands Les Paul. The smallest was the heritage with a thin line and a very good looking, the manager told me that i can find a place to try it. Of course i lefted the shop with my tuner and a bag with the guitar inside. It was in 1994 and i knew the reputation of hand made Heritage story. My beauty is with a E before the serial number (yes 1988). A very bad moment of my life i sold the guitar to a friend but he didn't play with it because not enough time to play (what a shame but a second chance for me) 6 or seven years after he decided to give it to me for the same price. Since this day i know that it is not possible to do that horrible mistake and the guitar will be with me to the end. After 22 years the look is always terrific and the sound as the first day, the only thing to do is to check the bridge humbucker level, the sound is a little bit down. So that was my little story and i am so happy to find Heritage lovers. Hope that my english is ok to be here Hervé
brentrocks Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Bonjour mon ami!!!! NICE H 140 my man!!!! WELCOME!!!!
jjkrause84 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Bienvenue ! I think there might be one or two other French people here and I’m sure there are francophones lurking (even though it is probably rude to speak in French here) so if language is ever an issue we should be able to help each other. Any and all Heritage lovers are welcome and I’m sure you’ll find us to be a pretty friendly bunch. Have fun with your new-old guitar! -Jon
tulk1 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 herve, What a great first post. A lost lover come home. It's a timeless story. The HoC is blessed to have such a fine International contingent.
herve Posted March 16, 2010 Author Posted March 16, 2010 Thx a lot nice to be here for jjkrause it is not easy to find Heritage in Paris because the french import has a lot of company to sell and ours is not the first for the sales I finded mine in a very nice place around Bastille in Paris 11 the name is "guitar and co" and the boss Jean Pierre is a realy nice guy. A lot of good guitar in every price and a place for some very good french musicians as Paul Personne best bluesman in my country. I didn't live in Paris now but in the long past the good place was in Pigale in the Marcel Dadi store, he was the first to sell Heritage but it was in the begining of the nineties ( a very long time ago) i'm 44 now and can't find time with familly to go "shooping". In any case i think it's possible to find an Heritage with internet and french sellers. I am very sad too because french magazine don't write about Heritage just few words and a very small picture of the 2010 Namm. This is why i am here, to be with Heritage lucky owners
tulk1 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Herve, Ask Jon (jjkrause) about his Heritage. (sorry Jon, couldn't help myself )

Luckily I already have a Heritage (I bought tulk's old Heritage Prospect which I'm anxiously waiting for....I won't be able to play it until I go home to California or someone I now comes out here as shipping and tax are too expensive). rooster Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 So that was my little story and i am so happy to find Heritage lovers.Hope that my english is ok to be here Hervé Hi. As an ultra-patriotic American semi-redneck from the great backward state of Arizona, I applaud your use of English. Your story is great, and your English language skills are quite refreshing. If it matters to you, your writing is more succinct and grammatically correct than that of most of the Management where I work. Three cheers to the great country of France, and congratulations on your re-purchase of your fine guitar. rooster.
