athompsonG85 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I have an '85 STAT I would like to see it reproduced with their current options and finishes because I don't want to alter this one. A. Would you like to see any early model resurrected? B. If so, which one? C. Describe what options you would like to see on it and which finish. Thanks for participating!
tbonesullivan Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 why did they discontinue the H140?? it's easier on the back than the H150.
SouthpawGuy Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 why did they discontinue the H140?? it's easier on the back than the H150. I'm not sure that they did discontinue the 140, for some reason, like the 550, it didn't make it to the new Heritage website.
RJLII Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I'm thinking the H-516 but with P-90s and Parallelogram inlays. Set up to look something like this: Go cat go.................
Orangepicker Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 H-357, how about seafoam green? I have already asked them for a remake on this guitar, just last week actually and was told that that guitar was very very costly to build. They said it would be in the price range of a sweet 16 if they built it so they have no intentions. I can petition some of the other owners and see what they say. Also my 445 was a great sounding dreadnaught even if it was built by Jean Larrivee.
athompsonG85 Posted March 17, 2010 Author Posted March 17, 2010 Yeah I was told that it would defeat the purpose of having a valuable guitar... but I don't care what it's worth... I enjoy playing it. I bought a $700 Schecter with active pickups 2 years ago to accentuate my evil side... not even close to the same quality.
pro-fusion Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 A Stat with a 24.75" scale would be a must-buy for me.
GuitArtMan Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 H-357 would be cool. Custom colors would be a cool option as well. Has Heritage ever done an SG style? How about a Melody Maker style with those old MM single coil pickups?
Ned Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I would throw down for an Academy. single cut, semi hollow, don't know of any southern guitar like it...

tulk1 Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I would throw down for an Academy. single cut, semi hollow, don't know of any southern guitar like it... Isn't that one actually still available? Some of the models didn't make the new site. The Academy was still an option in December. Or am I thinking of the wrong model Academy? I want the Tele-ish one (127?). We've hit them up several times to do a special run just for the HoC members only. I think last time it wasn't a "no way". More of an "ummmm".
High Flying Bird Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 HFT 445 and 457 acoustics Amen brother. The 445 is a one of a kind instrument. Such a sweet sound. My 475 is a work of art as well. Heritage acoustics beg to have lead played on them. I talked to Marv and Vince about making me a non-reverse 357. When I told them it had a glued in neck as opposed to a neck through body they both seemed to breath a bit easier. I think the Firebird design gives them trouble beyond what they want to deal with at an "after retirement job." An SG design would grab me by the wallet pretty hard. There must be a legal reason they don't make an SG.
athompsonG85 Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 What would you guys say about an Emerald Sunburst/Flake with all black hardware on a STAT??? Hell Blue/Red would look sharp with all black hardware as well.
smurph1 Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 why did they discontinue the H140?? it's easier on the back than the H150. 140's are sweet guitars!! Part of me says no, don't start making them again because I have a "B series" model..But that's selfish..So i say let's bring em back so everybody can enjoy them..
athompsonG85 Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 I don't think it should hurt the value of an old guitar just because they bring it back... All they have to do is call it a Series II or something... then we can all brag about our 1st generation while we abuse the new ones lol.

Heritage never discontinued the H-140, they simply make it as the H-140 2nd Edition. It has an upgraded curly maple top with cream binding. It is in the catalog. Don't your dealers have any 2010 catalogs?

I can't imagine what they traded it for..The store just has the usual Gibbons and Fenders..I guess an amp maybe?
