blueox Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 After enjoying my H-150CMU for several months and getting some inspiration from a few of you HOCers that have done it, today I wrote a check to an area guitar shop and ordered a custom instrument from 225 Parsons St. I won't be giving any hints here about the nature of the beast, but rest assured that when I receive the guitar, I will announce it along with the necessary photos. This will be interesting, since one can write things down on paper and submit such a list, but one cannot fully appreciate a custom guitar until it is completed. Of course, a custom instrument can't be auditioned before purchase like a normal run guitar to see how it sounds and plays. In the end, will my ideas work or will it end up a Frankenstein? Only time will tell.
FredZepp Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 EXCELLENT !! I trust that you have ordered something quite cool. It has to be a blast to run through the possibilities ... but the waiting.... oh my......sweet agony that must be. It sounds like you await it's arrival anxiously...

blueox Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 Now I'm getting all misty-eyed with all your support. As Dave Kindred said: "Life needs mystery or else everything else flattens into a routine so familiar you wonder if you will ever get out of the rut. We need the sweet pain of anticipation to tell us we are really alive." Even if my ideas turn out to be that Frankenstein, with the true artisans at Heritage making it, I know that it will be one of the nicest Frankensteins around. Yes, it is starting to feel like I'm waiting for a child to be born. Hopefully, this won't take nine or so months, but even then, it would be worth waiting for. As I look forward with great anticipation, your encouragement is most appreciated.
