shook494 Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 They look nice. Would love to hear them. I'm sure they'll look cool in your guitar too. Are they a special order for you?

Jepp. There are minihumbuckers inside. I ordered a set. The neck pickup has res. 7.2K and the bridge one has 6.3K. I am very curious about the sound. Guess what I will do next week-end.
hiro Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Oh sweet . . . I'm finding out pickups make a up majority of a guitar's tone . . . Dolph Lundgren ?? On the package of the pickups: Description: 1 Dolph Lundgren Bass humbucker. Preferred by heavy rock, punk or metal enthusiasts, for its crushing loud volume and hard, deep, beefy tone. On the split coil setting, it is very punchy but still retaining that depth of tone. Note: Players expecting use with softer genres, please consult the forums. With the right amp set up it can be used for softer styles such as jazz or lounge. www.boxingpu/forums 18,000 reviews First review: Dude! Monster sound! My guitarist was using Strat with Apollo pickups, and usually my bass can't keep up on the volume, but with Dolph's I just destroyed him in volume. Get these!! Winstone 2nd review If you pair with a Stallion in neck PU, you can get some sweet tones and a good range. Mickah LOL
brentrocks Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 would like to hear clips if possible...congrats!
Bombassa Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 would like to hear clips if possible...congrats! I couldn't wait any longer. I installed the mini humbuckers. The sound is about as expected. So far I haven't tryed it out. It reminds me a little of the sound fo a 72 Telecaster Deluxe. This is just my first impression, so it is to early to deside to keep them. Satisfied so far. I will come back with soundclips later. Bombassa

Bombassa Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 These are mini-buckers inside a full HB housing? Correct.
