Poelbaum Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I found the picture below from a posting of Brent's regarding a 137 for sale on another site. Anyone know who makes this pickguard? From what research I have done, it is neither Cryoman nor Jay Wolfe.
peteraltongreen Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 It looks like the adapted pickguard off a'59 double cut Les Paul Junior. If you have an outline drawing,a plastic sheet retailer would probably make you one.If not, Allparts used to offer a custom service for special pickguards. Finally,if all else fails,I had a luthier make a pickguard for an Epiphone 'Sorrento'.He was able to bevel the edge with his router. big bob Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 you can get all the stuff you need including templates at stewmac.
JohnCovach Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I use Pickguardian. The guy does great work, his prices are reasonable, and the turn-around time is quick. I have a Cryoman pickguard on my 137, however, and it's great!
