MatZen Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I looked around the forum but didn't see any mention of this one anywhere. It didn't even get mentioned in the Bay Watch section. Slid right under the radar. 1985 H-140
pegleg32 Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I was admiring that one, but didn't put a bid in. Wonder if anyone here grabbed it.
GuitArtMan Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Is that a crack in the back near the neck joint? There's some sort of blemish there. I was wondering about the numbers in edge of the headstock as well.

I was wondering about the numbers in edge of the headstock as well. Not a crack. Finish sunk into the back. It's a 2 piece back though. I thought the 140's where one piece mahogany? http://www.heritageownersclub.com/info_model_h140.htm Also has a poker chip around the selector switch. Were top hats put on the first 140's?
barrymclark Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Also has a poker chip around the selector switch. Were top hats put on the first 140's? My father-in-law has an 84 and 85 140 and they are original. The 84 does not have a poker chip but the 85 does. Both have top hats as does my 91.

Here is the funny part, my father in law's 85 has the same Gibbon type as mine. The 84 has the trapezoidal type that you see on the new Heritages. I thought that was interesting.
