Connor Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Thanks for all the comments and the information about HRW pickups etc. Since Golferwave asked, I'll mention that I bought the H155 from Schmitt Music in Duluth MN. I hope I'm not overstepping my privilages by mentioning a specific retailer. They have been selling inventory that has been there over a year because it costs the store a higher interest rate to keep it more than 12 months. Because of that, they have had a sale on Heritage as well as other brands. I bought a Martin 000 OMC Aura in February at an unbelievable price and the deals just keep coming. Unfortunatly, these sales are a reflection of our economy and everyone is struggling. I talked to the Manager, Debbie, yesterday. She has access to two more Heritage guitars. They are at the central warehouse (I think). Debbie has not seen either of these guitars. One is an H575 Natural that has been dropped with significant damage to the body. Schmitt wants $500 for it. The other is a H535 in sunburst with a small ding near the volume knobs somewhere. Schmitt wants $1000 for it. I'm not affiliated with the store, and I have not seen these guitars. Here is their phone number if you are interested: Schmitt Music Duluth MN 218-727-8341
67mike Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I bought my H150 OSB from Debbie at Schmitt's as well. Deal with Debbie....some of the salespeople their are not what I call on the ball. They had a H550ASB that had a neck repair as well, for $995.00 Toll free number is: 1 800 250 7524

I spent lots of time in your neck of the woods (MN anyway) worked with a company from the twin cities for over 20 yrs out of my home in NJ. Made the drive once along Lake Superior from Minneapolis to Duluth, it was summer, beautiful drive. Winter trips where cool as well, rode snowmobiles with the guys from the home office on the trails and frozen lakes, with frequent pit stops at the taverns along the way, had some good times out there. Sounds like some decent deals, especially the 535 if only slightly dinged. I'm kind of wondering, how are all their Heritages getting banged up? Frozen fingers?http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/style_images/ip.boardpr/folder_post_icons/icon6.gif
Connor Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Hi Hfan, Yes, I think you are right..... "frozen fingers". But not to worry, the snow is almost gone. Sounds like you enjoyed some of the finer moments of Minnesota living. I work out of my home too. It's a great way to go.
Blunote Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I just bought this H 155 from the local dealer yesterday afternoon. It's absolutely beautiful, and a joy to play! Can anyone tell me about HRW Pickups. I understand they are a premium pickup. They certainly sound good. Gorgeous guitar, Greg. I also have a Millennium with HRWs. Fantastic combination. Enjoy!
Connor Posted October 9, 2010 Author Posted October 9, 2010 Well I have owned my H 155 for 6 months now. I'm still dazzled by the looks of it, the sound of it, and the ease in which it plays. Heritage....... You done good with this one!
212Mavguy Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Beautiful guitar! Just one problem that you may already or may not know yet about owning a Heritage guitar, Millies in particular... This one's only your first!
Guest HRB853370 Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Hi Greg, not to sound redundant with the compliments, but its drop dead gorgeous. What is a "Milli" and what makes it different than a 150? Semihollow? And if that is the case, how does the sound and tone compare with a 150 equipped with HRW's?
schundog Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Meh, I GUESS H155's are OK; If you like that kind of stuff.... Just kidding, a happy camper here with mine, too! Enjoy, your's is beautiful.
Blunote Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Connor, Good to have you on board! I posted my story soon after buying my first last December. It was a Mille with HRWs as well. When I first heard it, someone else was playing it while I was visiting Elderly Instruments in E.Lansing. The sound stopped me in my tracks, and it thought..."that's the sound I've been looking for". Of course I bought it, and have since purchased an h-150p I travel with. And, if I can ever beat mgoeting or brentrocks to a deal....I may just buy another.
