barrymclark Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 There was a shop someone mentioned that had a couple of heritages that were damaged. One I believe was a 575 with significant body damage. I don't recall the others. Anyone remember these? I have a luthier buddy that might be interested. I believe it was a newer poster that mentioned it.
67mike Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Call Debbie at Schmitt's music in Duluth MN 1800 250 7524.
barrymclark Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 Call Debbie at Schmitt's music in Duluth MN 1800 250 7524. Thanks! Already talking to Lori, tho.
67mike Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Thanks! Already talking to Lori, tho. Good luck.....I have found that a few of the staff at that store are "clued-out"! Big Time! Matt, Scott and Debbie are pretty darn good. Never dealt with Lori.........Leannn is completely unaware of almost everything.

See if my buddy thinks it can be saved with reasonable effort. haha.
barrymclark Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 Been repaired. I am trying to score it. I just want if for playing and not for selling. Now, funny enough, I can't get in touch with them. haha. I will keep trying.
barrymclark Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 Well, maybe not. haha. I talked to someone else there and apparently the neck is shot. A luthier's special.
barrymclark Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 Geez, Mike. You weren't kidding. I talked to someone other than Lori (mistake) and that is where I got the bad neck info. I talk to her again and she says that there are two Heritages and one of them has the blown neck and not the 575 we are discussing. haha. So... she is having it looked into. Geez. haha. Well, if it all works out, it will be worth it.
LH575 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 ......Leannn is completely unaware of almost everything. Well, that's just not very nice.
67mike Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Well, that's just not very nice. Actually, what is not nice is trying to get her to describe a guitar to me (I live 200 miles away)....the guitar is literally 10 feet from her. If you doubt me, please call and see for yourself.

I WAS in their store on vacation, and saw/played the guitars& amps.....and they still had my head spinning from the lack of "what is going on in our store". You are in GA? Good luck getting a straight answer.

Good luck getting a straight answer. So long as I stick to Lori... it seems to be going ok. haha. What she doesn't know, she gets the answers. She seems to have a handle on things. She at least has that aire about her. So... I am comfy dealing with her. The in house repairman is give it a last look over and set up and so long as all is well, I will get it. The other guy was like, "What? We have one?" I am not kidding. He then took second hand information and filled in the gaps with what made sense to him and talked to the repair guy in question who thought he was talking about another problem Heritage they have which has the neck issues. My eyes crossed for a minute but we are all on the same page now. haha. From the damage, I thought it strange that the fall it seemed to have would cause a neck issue. haha. Looks like it was dropped on its end. They did a good job on the repair.
barrymclark Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 It's a no go on it. Upon further inspection, the neck is jacked. So... there you have it.
67mike Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 It's a no go on it. Upon further inspection, the neck is jacked. So... there you have it. There is a member here who lives in Duluth, who has bought 2 Heritages off this store in the past month or so...... He might have seen this guitar, or perhaps if he is in that neighbourhood, he might be able to check it out and let you know?????? His name here is Connor.
barrymclark Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 Nah, it is alright. All the back and forth and I am not there to look at it. I am not really that worried about it. If it was in good working order, then I would have been all over it. But... since it isn't or at least I haven't gotten a consistent story that it is, I think it is just best to leave it alone. I am sure other deals will come along. I will save my money til then.

If you doubt me, please call and see for yourself. Everything you post is captured and saved, like that time that you......... http://www.waybackmachine.org/ Not cool to call someone out by name. Yeah, you had trouble getting info from someone at a guitar shop. Big deal. No need to call this person out by name.

I did not use last names, so I am not sure why you are so upset? I am trying to save hime some grief that I had to endure. By the way, I did not say anything about the person's character, just that some of the employees in that shop are not as knowledgeable as others....some seem like they have just smoked a large quantity of mind altering drugs.
