High Flying Bird Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 I have been going through some old pictures. I found this last night. This is the old boat anchor. The best I can remember it was just over 10 lbs. One day a buddy stopped by with an old coat his grand dad was throwing away. He said I should wear it and play blues out side of the Kroger. I am hoping to find more photos of this guitar but I wasn't into cameras back then and most of my old photos are'a suckin'!
Dick Seacup Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 What's wrong with the coat? Looks fine to me! Great story, but what's the deal with the beer can on the ceiling hook? ???
LH575 Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Looks like that has the Les Paul cutaway. Wish they still made 'em like that. I feel another poll coming.....
brentrocks Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 that must be an early 150!! i like it...cool pic!!!
Cryoman Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 It also has a Les Paul style pickguard!!! What year is that Ole' Black? I remain intrigued that Heritage sells guitars (old and new) with both the LP style pickguard and their own "S" style.... Cheers, Cryoman
High Flying Bird Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 This guitar was an 89 or 90. I put gold vol/tone knobs on it, cream toggle switch nipple and cream areola on it. The pickguard was like this from the factory. Word was that Heritage made two of these for Roy Clark to pick his favorite from and he chose the other. I have to believe it was because this one was so heavy. One time in the old days I called Heritage and they said Roy had laid his down on a dresser and it fell off breaking the neck.
Thundersteel Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 cream toggle switch nipple and cream areola on it. I always knew guitars were sexy! This proves it!
cosmikdebriis Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 I always knew guitars were sexy! This proves it! Not to mention G strings
