MuDBoNe Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Hello, After installing my Antiquities in my H150CM Classic, I noticed the neck pickup cavity in not routed deep enough for the leg of the pickup. It is in there just fine, but I cant adjust it down far enough for my tastes. This guitar originally had Schallers. I am wondering how some of you guys delt with this issue. Thanks
brentrocks Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 is it just the length of the screw that is giving you trouble or the actual pickup?
DC Ron Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 (I haven't had this issue on a Heritage but fwiw...) Two words: Forstner bit.

brentrocks Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Its the actual pickup leg that hits bottom. i would go with DC Rons suggestion then....should be a very easy mod....just use the slow setting on your drill......and you will also be weight relieving your H 150 at the same time...LOL
MuDBoNe Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 Thanks for the ideas. Its a bit scary to drill your guitar, but I guess it should be OK
slider313 Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 The Schallers have a short leg base and many pickups have a long leg base. Routing the cavity is the way to go.
MuDBoNe Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 Thanks to all for your replies. I am done the drilling. It was nerve racking, but really no problem. Thanks again. MuDBoNe
