Patrick Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 I just snagged a drop dead gorgeous H535, Honey Burst. !998 with a rosewood board that looks like the Brazilian rosewood from 20 years ago. It's definitely got "the vibe". I'm psyched and how the hell am I gonna be able to wait for it to get here????

And I'd assume you're going to wait rather poorly. ............
Gitfiddler Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Ah...patience, Grasshopper. There's nothing quite like the anticipation of a new git. As for the Rosewood board, Heritage uses beautiful planks, that often look like Brazilian...even though it is not.
Steiner Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Aren't you the one that has two D'Angelico Heritages? And another pair? Sounds like your harem is growing with some fancy choices! Happy New Guitar {Anticipation} Day!
Patrick Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 Snagged? From where? Pics or didn't happen. And I'd assume you're going to wait rather poorly. ............ Snagged from San Antonio TX . . . Ebay . . . yeah, I gotta learn how to do that picture posting thing. I'm gonna give it a try next Saturday when I come back from a business trip and I have some time

I'm gonna give it a try next Saturday when I come back from a business trip and I have some time Found what I think is your guitar on the 'bay. We can post a pic or two from the auction for you, if you'd like. Is it the "Honey Burst"? (which more likely is Almond Sunburst - an awesome color on the semi's.)

(which more likely is Almond Sunburst - an awesome color on the semi's.) Yep!! That's it. If you can post those pics I'd appreciate it. I just have to devote a few minutes to try to learn how to do that. I know it's not that difficult . . . . but every time I run into a snag . . . I want to hit my moniter with a baseball bat. Like I said many time before . .. patience is not my strong point. I just gotta sit one day and mess with it. I have a lot of nice stuff I'd like you guys to see. I love to look at the "eye candy" and I feel guilty that I can't share some of my pieces with you guys.
Patrick Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 Pictures!! Thanks tulk1 . . . . could you get some pics of the rosewood finger board? That's probably what sold me on the guitar. They're also on the same ebay posting. Thanks buddy!!!!

( and agree on the request for archtop pics...) I am gonna try to post some pic this coming weekend. I have a digital camara, but thre seems to be a prob with the software . . . or my understanding of how to use it. I'll have a computer savy person (my 17 year old Grand Daughter) helping me on Saturday. I hope to get'r done then
ronalr Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Nice one Patrick..congratulations...reminds me of my 535...your gonna love it...
Patrick Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 Nice one Patrick..congratulations...reminds me of my 535...your gonna love it... Thanks Ron: I noticed on your 535 you have the cream colored pick up rings. That's the one thing I was thinking about changing. The one I just bought has black pup rings. I'm not sure the black works as well as the cream would. I'm gonna wait until I get the guitar (Thursday) and see what it looks like in person . . . then I'll decide.
conorb Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Congrats! That one is a real stunner. Play it, play it, play it. conorb
H Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Very nice Lots of people get shy about buying guitars through the likes of eBay but I've never been disappointed yet. As long as you know the right questions to ask and see enough pics, you rarely get screwed over. And when you do, you've paid through Paypal against your credit card so you get all the right people on the case. Opens your horizons SO wide when it comes to getting your hands on guitars like these. Congratulations What's she like to play? Got any modifications planned or planning to leave her 'standard'?

Didn't get it yet. Expecting delivery on Thursday. By the way, I too am looking to go with the cream colored pick up rings
H Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Didn't get it yet. Expecting delivery on Thursday. By the way, I too am looking to go with the cream colored pick up rings Should read the posts more carefully, shouldn't I? Keep an eye on that other thread - I'm hoping that the stock Schaller pickup rings have a slight relief in the base to handle the surface contour of the H-535. Until I find out I'm buying nothing!
