blueox Posted May 6, 2010 Author Posted May 6, 2010 "Chris (??) brought his to the PSP last year. So ... will this one be there this year? " At this time, whether I can make it to the PSP is up in the air. "The larger carved cavity was a very cool idea.. I bet that this guitar has a sweet "presence" to the sound. More lively perhaps. And the weight should be nice ..." Yes, it does have a lively sweet presence, as you call it, with a weight that is just right--not real heavy, but not real light. "What was the deciding factor to go with the f-hole. More of a lightweight approach or did the sound differences make it necessary for you?" My past experience put the f-hole on my short list of changes for the H-110. While I enjoy my solid-body guitars which produce some great sounds, to me the f-hole opening to an inner hollow area makes a positive difference in the sound. The Heritage catalog states that the H-110 is available in solid or chambered versions, so I selected the chambered version and went from there. However, I probably would have worked with the solid-body version (without an f-hole, of course) if that was all that was available. Heritage gave me two prices: one with the f-hole cut in without further carving and one with more carving of the cavity, and I went with the extra carving. "What does she weigh?" Without complete trust in these bathroom scales, she weighs in at 7 lbs., compared to 11 lbs. for my H-150, 9 lbs. for my G ES-335, and 6 lbs. for my F '72 Thinline Reissue. Thanks to EVERYONE for their comments. Obviously, there are a bunch of sincere Heritage enthusiasts here. And thanks to many of you for inspiring me to commit to a custom-built Heritage. Of course, Heritage proved once again that they are up for a challenge, as they put this instrument together and made it come out right.

SouthpawGuy Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 That one is most fine, really like the finish, the single f hole is a great touch. Congrats !
ledzef Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Seeing your 110 and Brent's new 357 makes me want to custom order a H-110 with korina for a totally sick guitar. Thanks for the ideas guys.
blueox Posted May 8, 2010 Author Posted May 8, 2010 "more pics please, back sides headstock ect.." You will find a few more photos in my gallery section. This is a work in progress, as I see that photographing guitars is an art in itself. It's interesting how the finish appears different in some of the photos as the lighting changes. Perhaps it would be better outside.
pushover Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Not just an awesome new toy to play with. There are also some nice toys in the background to plug it into.. I you enjoy the new acquisition.
