GroovieGuitarGuus Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Hello, I maybe like to buy a H150 (I own a H535 for over 22 years). The H150 looks nice and has Seymour D. '59 pick ups. Does Heritage Install this Pick-ups with a 4 or 2 wire connection. I like to install a Coil-split. Are there tips and trics (warnings) about this guitars? It's about this guitar:
slider313 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Wow! Nice top on that one. The only thing I would do is check the value of the pots. Some came with 300k's instead of 500k's. The 300k's "choke" the tone.
TalismanRich Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 SD 59s should come with a 4 wire cable. If you are going to wire with coil taps, you will be rewiring the pots in any case. Are you planning to use push/pull pots for the taps? If so, it won't matter what pots came standard on it. The standard wiring is generally going to be the normal 2 Humbucker style, unless someone has converted it the vintage wiring. In any case, rewiring the harness is easy if you have the diagrams. Every possible configuration is available on the Seymour Duncan website. Other than that, the 150 is a great instrument. In the picture, it looks like the standard Schaller roller bridge and tailpiece might have been converted to an ABR or Nashville style. Good luck with your project.
Assumer Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Wow, that is a great looking top. Is that the actual guitar you are going to purchase?
GroovieGuitarGuus Posted May 10, 2010 Author Posted May 10, 2010 Yes, it's about that guitar. Does Heritage use 'chambered' body's? The seller tell's me that the '59 SD's have a 2 wire cable Guus Another pic:

Thundersteel Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Does Heritage use 'chambered' body's? Only if it has "LW" in the model number (H150LW, for example) then it is chambered. No "LW" means no chambering.
GroovieGuitarGuus Posted May 13, 2010 Author Posted May 13, 2010 The Serial nr. is T 30302. Can I check if it is a Chambered one or not? It has some small damage at the backside. A small 'ding' at the back of the headstock and near the input (backside). The price asked is $ 1570,- But I live in the Netherlands... When I buy a USA guitar on E-bay, for example - 1200 USA $ + shipping 250,- + 27% extra tax... ? It might be a good deal! Guus

Guus I think if you take the control panel off it will list the model number..That will tell you if its an "LW" or not..Sweet git by the way..
Thundersteel Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I think if you take the control panel off it will list the model number. If you take the control panel off, and if it's hollow, then you'll know for sure it's chambered!
