Jazzpunk Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 I just flat out don't have room in the house for anymore guitars unless I move the wife and kids into a hotel. Not saying that isn't out of the question, but I just gotta get the finances of that worked out. Hampton Inns are real nice
Jazzpunk Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 I just got my first one a couple weeks ago, a trans-red 535, but I'm afraid I'm just getting started... Congrats Schundog, that's a real beauty!
mark555 Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I'm a minimalist - just got the one - but what a guitar......
JeffB Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I'm a minimalist - just got the one - but what a guitar...... +1.
Gitfiddler Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 At least once a week a new or used Heritage gitfiddle shows up for sale somewhere that I have serious pangs for. And I always seem to have a custom made design rolling around in my head for a truly special model. It's crazy!
smurph1 Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I'm thinking of selling all of mine. So I can place a custom order. ROFL!!
smurph1 Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 OK, a serious complaint. As nice as they are they are STILL pretty expensive. I have no idea when I'll actually be able to afford to keep one. Good Point..but they are SO worth it!! There are deals out there if you look hard..
nachogrande Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 OK, a serious complaint. As nice as they are they are STILL pretty expensive. I have no idea when I'll actually be able to afford to keep one. Maybe... But it is way better than the factory get closed, right?
Jazzpunk Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 She'll be here Monday! Man, it's gonna be a looooooooooong weekend.
mark555 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 OK, a serious complaint. As nice as they are they are STILL pretty expensive. I have no idea when I'll actually be able to afford to keep one. Yes, the more ornate models are expensive, I suppose like everything else it is an economy of scale. If you have plenty money, then buying is no problem. If, like me you don't, then buy one good one, like a 137 with 2 P90's on it, and just enjoy it, making sure you keep hold of it regardless of what happens. As I said, I am a minimalist, just got the one, but what a guitar... No shame in only owning one, in my case a 555. But I would sure as hell be proud to own a 137 like Southpaw has.
Jazzpunk Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 Now .. my guess at what you have coming in... a 535/555 ? All I can say is that I believe my incoming Heritage originally belonged to an HOC member (though I did not buy it from him) and that it is not a commonly seen model.
FredZepp Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 All I can say is that I believe my incoming Heritage originally belonged to an HOC member (though I did not buy it from him) and that it is not a commonly seen model. Maybe a Heritage Banjo.... you could be BanjoPunk...!!!!
Jazzpunk Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 Maybe a Heritage Banjo.... you could be BanjoPunk...!!!! Ha ha! Somebody beat me to it.
SouthpawGuy Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 All I can say is that I believe my incoming Heritage originally belonged to an HOC member (though I did not buy it from him) and that it is not a commonly seen model. 357 ?
Jazzpunk Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 357 ? All will be revealed tomorrow. (My guitar arrived in L.A. yesterday but no way to pick it up from UPS on the weekend. It's sitting there all alone right now just begging to be played. Oh the agony, the agony! )
Jazzpunk Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 Thanks Kuz! Some of my recent sales decisions were not my best ideas so I'm really looking forward to tomorrow.
Jazzpunk Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 I'm not near cool enough to pull that bad boy off!
peacemaker Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 OK, a serious complaint. As nice as they are they are STILL pretty expensive. I have no idea when I'll actually be able to afford to keep one. Um, have you priced G***** guitars lately? All complaints about cost should be directed THERE! I know where you're coming from . . . I waited almost 10 years for my first one. Expensive, sure. But unquestionably one of the best (THE best?) values in guitars you can find, imo.
