nachogrande Posted May 21, 2010 Author Posted May 21, 2010 Bob thanks for sharing. Fantastic wooden tones indeed.
Kuz Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 575 with TV Jones pickups, 550 with TV Jones pickups, or 525 with p-90s YEP!!!
nachogrande Posted May 21, 2010 Author Posted May 21, 2010 575 with TV Jones pickups, 550 with TV Jones pickups, or 525 with p-90s YEP!!! I'd like to buy them all, but that would be the end of my marriage
barrymclark Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Thanks eljay. Barry, yes that's the beauty of Heritage I bet Ok then find me a good 550 with bigsby and all the stuff to be needed for setzer tone, or, make one for me Sperzel tuners TV Jones Classics (humbucker mount) Bigsby B6 Roller bridge and graphite nut for the Bigsby Master Volume A tone switch next to the pickup switch. Drop the tone knobs Bingo. I hear ya on the cash flow. Darn good thing I don't have extra cash laying around. I'd own a mess of Heritages! haha. My wife would kill me! She loves guitars but when they take over the bed room... she starts to look at me in the way that only wives of guitar lovers can. haha.
nachogrande Posted May 21, 2010 Author Posted May 21, 2010 Barry actually I am struggling to sell some gears to finance the 3rd H here. I am on a flow which is exactly not a cash It worths to be get killed by a wife over a mess of Heritage. Nice scene
yoslate Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Please allow me to add to the confusion: 576 with Phat Cats....
cod65 Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I second the 575 with p-rails combo --- all the tones are useable! even the rails! maybe add a metal bridge of some sort for a little more twang than the jazzy wood one they often come with.

We might say they have minor differences. 2- 530, 535 and 555 might be the secondary choices. 3- TV Jones are essential, but SD P-Rails, Phat Cats or P90s work properly. 4- Bigsby B6 or equivalent vibrato is needed. 5- Plus, Barry's own experiences other than Bigsby B6 and TV Jones Classics (humbucker mount): Sperzel tuners Roller bridge and graphite nut for the Bigsby Master Volume A tone switch next to the pickup switch. Drop the tone knobs

Drop the tone knobs Yeah, the B6 is what comes on the 6120's. I am sure a query of your dealer of choice would turn up the proper Bigsby for your Heritage. Those other items (graphite nut, roller bridge and Sperzels) helped keep the guitar in tune with the Bigsby. I was specific on the brands as that is what is on the Setzer stuff and that is how I set mine up. I took a Gretsch that was not meant for a Bigsby and with those mods it would stay in tune for months. No joke. MONTHS. If I had to tune it, it was new string time. You can also get the Nashvillian wiring harness from TV Jones as well, I believe. CTS pots, Switchcraft jacks, Belden wire. Top notch. I had the TV Jones Classics with the humbucker mount in the aforementioned Gretsch that wasn't meant for a Bigsby.
GrandpaLarry Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Here's a demo of one of the best rockabilly players out there on a Heritage... Man. ever since you posted that link I've gone nuts trying to teach myself the piece David Paul plays on the vid. BTW, any helpful info on that subject is appreciated.

barrymclark Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Isnt rockabilly more about attitude? Only if that is why you are into it!
barrymclark Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Only if that is why you are into it! ...some just like the haircuts.
