t0aj15 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 It's called the 'Ethos' by a small company named Custom Tones. The 'Ethos'
Hfan Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I did just re-read your original post. Have you told your wife yet? Usually conversations with between my wife and myself about guitars end up in a discussion about whether or not she wants me getting involved with her shoe and outfit purchases. I actually won an argument with her (once.. yes it does happen very occasionally), by pulling out from her closet what looked to me to be about 6 identical pairs of black pumps. She immediately started giving me the details about the subtle differences between them and how one was right for one occasion but not some other occasion, etc. ??? I listened patiently, and then followed up with: "o.k. I'll accept that, but you're going to expect me to accept that these seemingly similar looking shoes all have different unique purposes, yet you're not willing to accept that each of my guitars has different unique sounds and purposes.. That hardly seems fair, does it?"... It was a momentous day! I have come up with a strategey for getting a new guitar into the house when you haven't found the oportune moment to inform the wife: 1. Always have at least one guitar on a stand, this leaves an empty case in your collection. 2. When the new arrival has been smuggled into your home in the dead of night or early morning, hide the empty case somewhere the wife doesen't ever go..in my case the ladder only accesable attic. This leaves the same number of cases in view. 3. I'm still working on the final step..details to follow.

I'm a little worried about all those cases (and guitars?) piling up in the attic.

Jazzpunk Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I've made inquiries with custom builders in the past and I've gotten anywhere between 6-12 months as far as delivery estimates.

t0aj15 Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Nice..Sweet Tones..Can we expect a full report when you get it? I didn't bother to order one, I just don't have the patience to wait 1-1/2 years for it.
brentrocks Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I've made inquiries with custom builders in the past and I've gotten anywhere between 6-12 months as far as delivery estimates. i have been waiting on my 59 burst replica for over a year
brentrocks Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Good Idea!! Maybe a Bell's Oberon? i have a feeling a few of those will be drank at the Barn at PSP III
tulk1 Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 i have been waiting on my 59 burst replica for over a year ............ any word from your builder lately? My two Custom Stambaughs took 6 months each. Of course, he's not quite as large an operation as Heritage. But I don't think 3 months is a long time to wait. No wait!! Yes I do!!! Way too long ...... but not unreasonable.
