Blunote Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Don't blink! But this current "Pure Michigan" ad exhorting viewers to buy local flashes Heritage guitars at 17 and 22 seconds. While it would be nice if the brand had been highlighted, it's cool that of all native Michigan products, someone picked these guitars to be among the few showcased in the ad.
blueox Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Thanks for the heads-up. I don't know who the first guy is with the Heritage, but the second guy is Johnnie Bassett from Detroit. Check out his "The Gentleman Is Back" CD.
barrymclark Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 We get a lot of Michigan ads here in Atlanta. Everything from tourism ads, to 'buy into Michigan' ads to 'move your business to Michigan' ads.

golferwave Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 That's really cool. Too bad they didn't highlight the guitars more.
Patrick Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 If you hit the pause button at precisely 13 seconds and 19 seconds . . . you'll get a better view of the blonde archtop. I can't make out what it is. But at 24 seconds, there's that headstock!!!!! Looks like a Super KB
Dick Seacup Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 I saw that earlier in the week and again last night. I pointed out the one at 22 seconds to my wife, but only after she pointed out the one at 17 seconds. I had totally missed the first one. Just went through it again; that first one isn't a Heritage. Isn't that Jack White? He's known for playing old, offbrand guitars. Kay's and Silvertone's and whatnot. Maybe it's one of those.

The headstock on the first one does look like a Kay
Blunote Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 Good pick up. I think you're right. The headstock on the first one does look like a Kay I thought the one at 17 seconds showed a blurred Heritage headstock. That glimpse is what first caught my eye. The second shot with the Heritage headstock seemed to confirm for me that the earlier guitar was Heritage.
smurph1 Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 i have seen that on TV....good eye!!! Boy! I'll say..A second or two is better than nothing!
