Perfect strap?

I just got an H137 TV a few weeks ago. It's in getting set up so it'll be perfect. As soon as I layed eyes on it in person I knew I wanted it to play as good or better then the red 140 I lucked into over the winter so I took it right in to correct a few minor things I would live with on a lesser guitar.

Anyway, while I'm waiting I'm wondering what strap you guys would buy to live with this instrument if it were you. It's very light to me (my main instrument is an on-the-beefy-side Stingray bass - pretty much any guitar I've played feels like it's made of helium to me), so even those thin rockbilly type pad on a thin leather strap dealie-bobs might be hip for this one... not too worred about price if it really clicks with me and the guitar.

what would HOC do?

Levy's makes a good strap too and price is not too bad. As far as the perfect strap I don't think there is such a thing if you play live any strap will bug you in some way from time to time. At least they do me.

Yep - I use a nice leather Levy's on my Stingray and love it.

Comfort's not really the issue - I'm essentially looking for style opinions.

Thanks!

I had some leather straps but found them too bulky

since I now install a .10c washer over the strap on each of my gtrs, leaving it on permanently ( more or less-->absolutely NO chance of it falling off ) I now use those 3" wide nylon levy's because they are light, distribute the weight really well, fold up very compact over the gtr, and I can close the case easily & leave one of them on each gtr. plus they are cheap at about $10 or so.

they don't bind on your clothing at all ( unlike leather ) and it's real easy to adjust the length on the fly...they are my strap of choice these days
