slider313 Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I had a beautiful blue '89 H147CM, which I sold two years ago. I just went into my paypal account and found the buyers info and emailed him about buying it back. Well it looks like he may be interested in selling it back to me. I sold it to him for $1100. with the original case. Most of the H147's I've seen were either white or black. I may have to move my Hamer Special FM to make room and "please the wife", not to mention recoupe some funds. What do you think?
Gitfiddler Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 GO FOR IT! That is such a unique blue beauty. Obviously you miss her to go through the trouble of researching the buyer.
Dick Seacup Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I think it's a great looking guitar, from the picture. And, having recently reacquired one I should never have sold (after spending two years waiting for it to resurface), I can cotton to why you would want to. Go for it!
Thundersteel Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 If you miss it that much, you should buy it back. Hopefully, it's in the same condition you sold it to him for. It would be nice if he sold it to you for the same price you sold it to him for.
brentrocks Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Go For It MAN!!!! what was the difference between the 157 and the 147? besides the Florentine cutaway?
slider313 Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 The H147CM is the "Custom" version of the H140CM. Same thin body style, maple neck, ebony fretboard, 5 ply bound headstock and body, pearl block inlay, pearl Heritage logo and "fireball" crest on the headstock.
AnH555 Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Beautiful guitar. Is the 147 the predecessor to the 157?
High Flying Bird Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I normally would like a blue guitar but, even with this small photo, I can see the wood is so pretty under the finish. What a great looking guitar!
slider313 Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 I don't have any better photo's. The flame top is beautiful under the blue stain. The back and back of the neck are also stained blue. I was just playing my Hamer and it's going to be tough to part with. I don't know if I can do it. She's a real beauty.http://photobucket.com/albums/b376/slider313/Hamer1.jpg[/img]
slider313 Posted March 5, 2008 Author Posted March 5, 2008 Beautiful guitar. Is the 147 the predecessor to the 157? You are correct. The H147CM is the predecessor to the H157CM.
