Kazwell
Hey 18 is legal last time I checked. Every year, I get one year older, but girls reach the age of 18 every year. Getting back to my sociological analysis, let's see how we can tie this in. Well, 1950's, uh Jerry Lee Lewis rock n roll superstar marries his 14 year old cousin. 14-not legal today last time I checked. Now, that was a scandal back then. Would something like this be a bigger scandal today?
Thundersteel
I think defining the legal age at 18 is an American concept. In Europe, AFAIK, the age in some countries is 16, perhaps even 14. When the settlers came here a couple hundred years ago, I'm sure most, if not all, of the young brides were under 18. America is, unfortunately, somewhat prudish--sort of like the Victorian era. I think most of our socio-psychological sturm und drang can be traced back to those wild-eyed, hard-drinking, fun-loving, skirt-lifting...Puritans! We are, after all, all just "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God." Not that Jerry Lee had the answer either....

Perhaps it was that Puritanical Southern religious repression that pushed those young God fearing white kids to fill a void with that "other music" they heard from across the tracks.... and become wild-eyed 50's rock n rollers. ;D

Kazwell
Aren't we suppose to be discussing guitars Guitars are about music, music is about life. Life is about people and their history, or rather their "Heritage"....That's Heritage with an H, the company that brings life to guitars that we discuss which leads us to music and back to life and so on. It's all just one big circle. So as you can see we are STILL in the right forum. Bet you feel a bit foolish now, don't you... ;D
