paul144 Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Took it to a funk/blues jam last night at a rehearsal studio. Played thru an old beat up Marshall set clean, and used some pedals. I have it set up with Manlius Landmark pickups, and I was getting these great Robben Ford type tones. Haven't played it out in a while, gonna take it more often, it really gave up the goods!
FredZepp Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Wow.. that 140 is sweet... They are awesome guitars and just ooze the Heritage vibe. The Manlius Landmark pickups seem like they would be cool... thinner wire and alnico magnet to create a "modern variation on the PAF pickup" .. I do love my 140 (first edition)
slider313 Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 They are great guitars and very versitle . Here's my '88 with a set of Tom Short/Mike Ricca Undercover Minis.
barrymclark Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 I, too, have forgotten how great your 140 is. Please send it to me.
paul144 Posted June 21, 2010 Author Posted June 21, 2010 ^^^hahah...no way! Mike those pickups look great, I wish mine had the trap inlays.
daybed Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 love that red color with the zebra pickups- looks really classy. Nathan
