I like split blocks, and have them on two heritage archtops, but I'm with Gitfiddler ...just depends on the overall look of the guitar. Split blocks on a 24.75" scale/16" guitar, esp. if no bound headstock? I'm not so sure. Same with clouds, which I think are a cool tip of the hat to the Epi Kalamazoo tradition. If it has a spruce top ... then I like no inlays. So, I guess that leaves blocks or dots. Blocks if the whole guitar is "dressed"binding on headstock and fingerboard), dots if plain.

My favorite inlays is probably the 555 inlays, but I don't think they would look right on a 575??!!!! VERY cool inlays though..... did I find a reason for posting a picture.....
