cosmikdebriis Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Well an enormous thank you to Golfer. My 150 with the added bonus of HRW's has tuned up safe and sound after its little jaunt over the Atlantic. Superbly packaged and exactly as he'd described it. He was/is a great guy to deal with and as I know he's selling a few guitars then I'd just like to let you all know what a thoroughly decent chap he is ;D (No... He's not paying me to say this) > Thing is... and it's entirely my fault... I'd asked him to remove the strings before posting and I don't have any here or have time to get any today :'( So there she is looking all sexy in her case and I can't get a note out of her... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( That's three "H"s now. Any more and I'll have to seek advice from Doctor Riffenberger
cosmikdebriis Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 yeah, what he said ;D Thing is... Without any strings on, my beauty's naked :-X If you think I'm going to show you lot my new girl in the buff... You've got another think coming... Perverts ;D You'll have to wait till she's properly dressed
brentrocks Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 its 7:15 in the evening there now....perfect time for a restring!!! hop to it....
cosmikdebriis Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 its 7:15 in the evening there now....perfect time for a restring!!! hop to it.... Alas... Rhianna is playing at our local venue and I'm supplying the crew and doing the rigging. I'm not sure "Sorry the mid truss fell on her head but I was busy re stringing my guitar" would be an adequate excuse... I'm on standby... For any eventuality. (and in her case there's a very unlikely eventuality that springs to mind) >
Thundersteel Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 perfect time for a restring!!! You can omit the G string if you desire! ;D
SouthpawGuy Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Thing is... and it's entirely my fault... cosmikdebriis Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 Well... I've just seen Rihanna dancing around on stage with not much on...... Not Bad > The music was... Erm... What music... Can't remember any music...
golferwave Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 well you called it cosmik - You said they'd be calling for your head if you didn't post the pics right away. I was going to put a set of strings in the case pocket but got distracted filling out the customs statement and didn't get them in there. Anyway I'm happy that it arrived safely. Enjoy!
bobo62 Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 You decided on your next one up for grabs Golferwave?
High Flying Bird Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Well... I've just seen Rihanna dancing around on stage with not much on...... Not Bad > The music was... Erm... What music... Can't remember any music... Now you have gone too far! :uwp:
cosmikdebriis Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 Now you have gone too far! Gone too far.... I didn't get to go anywhere near as far as I'd have liked ;D Sorry for that but you've got to understand the British "Seaside Postcard" sense of humor is based on the Double Entendre :-* Anyway... Back to the subject.... http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj254/cosmikdebriis/150.jpg[/img]
Dick Seacup Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Sorry for that but you've got to understand the British "Seaside Postcard" sense of humor is based on the Double Entendre :-* Ah, McGill and his saucy art. EDIT: Found one! Anyway... Back to the subject.... Love the top on that! Just the right amount of figuring. What year is it? I'm wondering how much mellower that natural finish is going to get.

If I had any complaint at all it would be that it needs wearing in a bit Perhaps the finish will mellow with age... Only one way to find out... ;D

SouthpawGuy Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Hey cosmik, that sure is one nice looking natural finish --- I like the knobs too they really suit that finish. Any pics of the back / sides ?
cosmikdebriis Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 Hey cosmik, that sure is one nice looking natural finish --- I like the knobs too they really suit that finish.Any pics of the back / sides ? It's evening here so I'll sort it tomorrow... Just been sat here playing her... Boy I LOVE this guitar ;D I'm gonna fish out my 70's LP (std) for a comparison tomorrow but, unless I've forgotten something, there's no contest Knobs are a retro fit by Golfer (I think, as the originals also came with the guitar). A vast improvement on the cheap nasty standard ones. wish it had Grovers but I can live with the Schallers. ??? I've a push pull vol control in my 140 that's doing nothing (as it has P90's in it). Not sure about the wiring of the HRW's in this one but, if possible, I may just try a coil tap >
brentrocks Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 LOVE this guitar ;D love is such a stong word.... ;D does it have firm breasts
slider313 Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Nice looking top. I can see it's the kind of top that jumps out at certain angles. As it ages it will get better. My 140 is now 20 years old and the top took more than 6 or 7 years to get the flame to really show itself. Now it's just amazing.
cosmikdebriis Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 does it have firm breasts Brings back happy memories
cosmikdebriis Posted March 7, 2008 Author Posted March 7, 2008 Well... someone might Interesting guitar too ;D
