Hello all. I've been lurking around here for a while learning about Heritages. This is a great board. My main guitar is a G***n 335, but  I've been wanting to get a LP  for a while now. I had a great LP Standard that I sold about 20 years ago and have regretted it ever since. I just recently learned about Heritages and am really glad I did!

I just got my first Heritage, an H-150 with Duncan 59s. It arrived late yesterday off the frigid UPS truck, so to be safe I let it sit in the case overnight before taking a look (this required more self-restraint than I'm usually able to muster). This morning I opened the case. The guitar is beautiful, a vintage sunburst  with some nice flaming. It has a Nashville-style bridge and stop tailpiece. I didn't notice any flaws--the craftsmanship is very good.  I played it for about five minutes sans amp before leaving for work. The guitar has nice sustain even without plugging in. The neck feels good and plays easily. In short, I can't wait to get home this evening and try it through my Bassman head!

Hi erp and welcome to the HOC.

I know what you mean about the unplugged sustain, my 535 is used as much unplugged as plugged, it really sings acoustically.

As you can see the "natives" get restless if pics are not offered up.

It's like a tribal ritual  ;D

Here are a couple pics I took last night. I'm not much of a photographer, sorry.

So far I'm really loving this guitar. It plays really great. The 59s sound good to me, Bridge pup has some nice bite to it, and the neck one has a good warm and rounded tone. I play a lot of clean arpeggios, and the middle and rhythm positions both sound great for this. There's good definition and clarity of the arpeggiated chords, and the 150's natural sustain along with a touch of delay produces gorgeous shimmering tones. The kids were asleep, so I wasn't able to drive the amp much, but the guitar sounded great at low to medium volumes clean and with some OD pedals. The only issue I've noticed is that the high E string frets out when playing an F# on the second fret. The note just won't ring out and dies with a sitar-like buzzing. I suppose the frets will have to be adjusted to fix this, which is a bit of a bummer but nothing too serious.

Tonight I'll take it to band practice. I'm looking forward to hearing how it fits into the band's mix.

Awesome guitar, love the vintage burst.  A friend has a H150 ultra in that color, I kid him all the time about calling me if he's letting it go...(he just laughs at me).  My 150 is the CMCL too, with the '59s, only mine has the Schaller hardware.  Wish it had the hardware yours does, but Schaller is what they used during the era mine was constructed (S31705).  You will love it, yes it does sustain forever.  I play mine through a Marshall DSL401 tube amp, love the clean tones.  Mine is in antique burst, bought it used.

Congrats, welcome to the list!
