jazzalicious Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Hi guys. posted the same questions in another post. Just want to make sure someone answers. I'm picking up a 525, but before I do....... 1) how is the weight? I have another thinline guitar, and it has a neck dive. Is it balanced? 2) how is it acoustically? 3) how is it for a warm dark jazz tone? thanks Jazzalicious

I do not notice any 'neck dive' 2) For an electric guitar it is fine acoustically. I wouldn't take it to an acoustic jam or anything. 3) Never strung mine with flat wounds so can't give a definitive answer. I've played jazz on it with round wounds and it sounds great to my ears. For a straight jazz gig though, I'd prefer a 575. My 2cents.

Maybe next week I'll post some 525 vs 575 sound clips.
