eljay Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 does this finish go back to the old G days? every time i see an example of ch'burst my wallet gets that "tired" feeling! thank you, eljay
metalmaniac93 Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 It actually was a custom order job that I had requested back in 2001. I gave them a picture of Warren Haynes with his chestnut Gibson and they recreated it. So, I had the first ever for a bit, but they messed up my ordered and made one of the thinner CM models for me instead of the 150CM. I believe they made the 140-CM. Jim then presented a body to me that was was just finshed and sanded with no paint job that was to be made for the NAMM shoe and they remade my order. So, I actually have the first 150CM in that color. They liked the color so much that they added to there color options. Oh and I lived in Kalamazoo at the time so I was at the factory all the time. It is an awesome guitar. If you ever decide to get one I would recommend getting Tone Pros hardware for the bridge and tailpiece. Great product. I just refited mine with the ABR-1 Tone Pros replacement and the Aluminum tailpiece in replacement of the GIbson ABR-1 and standard tailpiece. A huge difference in sound. I also recommend getting a bone nut!!! I also do not know if they will do this, but have the input jack fitted like the Gibson. It tends to get loose quite a bit. I also had this done after the fact. I hope this helps.

Guest mgoetting Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 That's absolutely one of my favorite finishes. This is my current favorite, but I'm fickle and inconsistent.
Thundersteel Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 but I'm fickle and inconsistent. I'm intermittently intermittent!
golferwave Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Here's my Chestnutburst beauty. Jay Wolfe generally refers to the color as "Rubyburst" That'a a pretty good description.
koula901 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I really love that finish. If I get another Heritage, it will be that color.
