big bob Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Curly calls it a cherry tomato burst. Made by the Girl just for me. It's perfect in every way!!! Thank you Kate for making her just Kick A$$.. 170 ultra top extra deep dish carve back scarf ebony board w/o markers 555 headstock graphite nut three lollar mini-hums and a hilly billy crowbar. action/ fit/ finish all top notch.. and she plays.... well you know .... F-ing GREAT!!!!!!! thanks bird for the best pick yet. this is a good shot but the color represented better in the first pic.
High Flying Bird Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 It is one good looking guitar. It played really nice too.
tbonesullivan Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 that guitar is all kinds of AWESOME! triple mini buckers! great finish!
pegleg32 Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Lovely guitar Lance. I really like the color. Also the mini-buckers don't overwhelm the top which is hice.
Steiner Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Even for a gentleman that could do it himself, you have done well! Happy return home and NGD!
212Mavguy Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!
big bob Posted August 9, 2010 Author Posted August 9, 2010 Thanks guys I'm just starting to really push the mini's... they have a real great overdriven sound.. real rockabilly twang, but can also dial a superb great clean articulate jazz sound..the jury is still out as to weather I want to swap the middle one for a p-90 soap bar.. might try just to see.
chico Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 That color should be added to the Heritage color chart.. tomatoburst.. nice. beautiful axe my friend. sounded good too!
golferwave Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 That double cut is nothing but awesome!! I love the headstock binding and inlay on that one and the color is superb!!
brentrocks Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 seeing that in person was one of my "moments" for the weekend....what a great Heritage!!!
big bob Posted August 12, 2010 Author Posted August 12, 2010 seeing that in person was one of my "moments" for the weekend....what a great Heritage!!! Kate really out did herself... I just can't say enough good things about this one.... never gonna sell her, not even back to kate! Thank you Girl..
tulk1 Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I got to talk to Katie for a bit about yours and her guitars. She was extremely excited to get the popsicle back, considering the circuitous route it has taken in the past year. And just as psyched to help build you a replacement. Gotta say, those 3 minis are just too uber cool! Combined with your 3 single coil 150, you've got a couple of very unique Heritages. BTW, loved the 150, too! It certainly has it's own sound.
FredZepp Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Hey Lance .. we need more pics of this one...!!!!!
mark555 Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 that is a wonderful looking guitar, and I am sure it plays as good as it looks, I have always liked mini humbuckers, three together look terrific.
