Belgianlefty Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Hi all, First message on HOC.com... As you may guess, I am left handed and I live in Belgium... I am currently looking for a new Les Paul... and don't want to spend my money in a Gibson... especially if I can't try the guitar first... Logically, I turned to Heritage and more precisely to the H150. I just found some lefty models for sale on various US web sites. Before I order, I would like to know what are the main differences between the following models (pickups, finish, ...): H150 H150CM H150 25th anniversary many thanks for your help!
FredZepp Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Welcome onboard Belgiumlefty There will be some variance in different years... The 150's would have Schallers or the upgrade HRW pickups in the older ones. The new ones tend to have Seymour Duncan '59's . But sometimes players would order with Seth Lovers.. or provide their own pickups. The CM on 150CM stands for curly maple (the figured top) and the 25th Anni has a "Ultra" top .. nicely figured. Those that own anniversary editions all say they have a special vibe about them. But all are Handmade in Kalamazoo and .. I never met a Heritage that I didn't like.

Belgianlefty Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 thanks for the information Fredzepp @ Southpawguy: thanks but I am looking for an old style burst finish. In this regard, not sure that this one is an OSB. Can someone confirm please?
TalismanRich Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 thanks for the information Fredzepp @ Southpawguy: thanks but I am looking for an old style burst finish. In this regard, not sure that this one is an OSB. Can someone confirm please? That one appears to be either Old Style Burst, or Antique Sunburst. Both are fairly dark. Antique Sunburst seems to have a little more red to it. Here are the Heritage finshes.

Kuz Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Many thanks for your comments... yes, she is beautiful and sounds great, very vintage... very happy but I will maybe change the pickups in the future... What do you think about Seth Lover pickups? Has any of you already replaced it ? for what ? No, most people replace the Schaller pickups FOR Seth Lovers. Seth Lovers are VERY good pickups, especially the neck pickup!
