JimRhesus Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Basically over here in th UK heritages are pretty un known. Everyone wants gibsons or fenders. I myself nearly bought a newish 335, then I did some reading. I have what most people would cause a jazz box, guitar but i play dirty, neil young feedback style sonic youth/ the pixies / punk rock on mine, and well, it does that better than any other guitar I have ever owned. How versatile are there heritages? Very versatile I say. I am gong into the studio soon and will post the results/ Cheers Jim
barrymclark Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 You will be shocked at how versatile these guitars are. The first two are with my 575 which is kind of like a wider body 525 with humbuckers. Video The second clip has a bit more dirt on it. Maybe give you an idea. Those P90's will get grittier I bet.
Tim Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Yes, I would agree that these are very versatile guitars although I use my 575, primarily, for jazz stuff. I use my 150 for all kinds of stuff, and , my recently aquired Millenium DC for everything! The Millie reminds me a lot of a Gibson ES 339 (but better). If I knew how to upload a WMA file, I'd attach a track I recently did using the 575...(oh well...I tried...just as well, I'm not nearly as good as everyone else here).
jazzrat Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I played my 575 last week with a jazz trio. Clean and tradional sounding. I also play weekly for church services where the music is definately rock, Everyhing from U2 to Hoobastank kind of stuff. Great tones all round.
Thundersteel Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 My H555 sounds good with any style. Heck, at PSP III I played "Smoke on the Water" with it using a 5-watt Swart--and it sounded great! Well, I thought it did! (Anyone happen to catch that on video?)
