jazzrat Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 You just have her get ahold of any one of us....we'll testify to that being a great buy! Congrats
tulk1 Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I don't know if you noticed this or not, and I hate to rain on your parade (yucky cliche`), but it looks like the boys in the 'zoo put that one together backwards. All the knobs and stuff are on the wrong side! What are ya'gonna do with it like that? And it looks awesome!!!
FredZepp Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I just love when a great deal on a great guitar happens.... And I love the vintage look of that one....
Patrick Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I can't believe I got this guitar for this price! http://miniurl.com/51984 Now... How do I get it into the house without my wife suspecting anything?? eric Eric: Given your screen name. . . . "weasel" this one should be pretty simple for you to .. . "weasle" your way out of. Tell her you are getting a guitar by UPS or Fed Ex delivery . . . which ever the case may be. You have worked a deal with a fellow HOC member, where you will totally set up and clean, tune and "rejuvinate" the guitar. He has agreed to pay you $300 dollars for the work. You told him you will hold onto the guitar until you get his check. Then, 2 weeks later, you get a phone call . . . you act surprised . . . shocked . . . . dismayed!!! Your friend was just killed in a drive-by "fruiting" . . (Robin Williams, Mrs. Doubtfire) and your friend's wife doesn't have the money to pay you for the set up .. . so she wants you to keep the guitar. "My husband thought the world of you . . . he would have wanted you to have this guitar" . . . . is what she told you. Of course she won't believe you, but she will so admire your resourcefulness .. . aka bullshit story . . .she will not hurt you too bad for buying the guitar.
jjkrause84 Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 WHOA! Talk about a killer score! Heritage prices really must be falling....maybe this means I CAN get my first 535!
jmac Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I watched that one on ebay. Beautiful.. but it was a lefty. It is a lefty right? enjoy..
High Flying Bird Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Set your neighbor's house on fire. During the commotion slip the guitar into your house. That's how I handle it.
cod65 Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 lefty or righty that is sweeet! weird though - how did you find a lefty which gives absolutely no indication of such? that one didnt even come on my radar ! weird thing is i havent gotten any ebay emails for days.....hmmmmmm
Steiner Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Set your neighbor's house on fire. During the commotion slip the guitar into your house. That's how I handle it. That's an excellent idea! Before too long they'll be building a park next door. Kudos... Quite.

How do I get it into the house without my wife suspecting anything?? eric You don't. You're going to have to quickly buy her something of greater value to make up for it. I'm thinking probably new furniture, Caribbean cruise, or new car. dan
cod65 Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 awful quiet..... DUDE, I'LL GIVE YOU 1100$ FOR IT
erictheweasel Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 awful quiet..... DUDE, I'LL GIVE YOU 1100$ FOR IT OK. Deep breath. Rule #1 -- Never go on eBay first day, post-op. Seriously. I spent most of the rest of yesterday and a good part of today sleeping of anesthesia. And no, I did not realize that this guitar is a lefty. Are you seriously interested? eric
FredZepp Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 OK. Deep breath. Rule #1 -- Never go on eBay first day, post-op. Seriously. I spent most of the rest of yesterday and a good part of today sleeping of anesthesia. And no, I did not realize that this guitar is a lefty. Are you seriously interested? eric Wow... I hope all is well health wise.... And .. the good news, you will be able to get your money back out... so you won't have to learn to play lefty...
erictheweasel Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 Wow... I hope all is well health wise....And .. the good news, you will be able to get your money back out... so you won't have to learn to play lefty... Thanks, Fred. Yeah, I'm ok. I had a small nodule removed from my left vocal chord. Still, it required general anesthesia, which really put me on my ass! (Obviously! ) I'm not too worried about the money, as you've pointed out I feel I can at least get out of it what I've already paid for it. What I'm really bummed about is missing out on a beautiful guitar! Grrrrrr! eric
