2022 Heritage H-150 Replacement Bridge and Tailpiece

I actually checked my tailpiece posts and they seem to be slanted as well.  The bridge looks like it may be too.  I've had this guitar over a year now and haven't noticed!  Since the posts may be slanted, maybe it's better to let sleeping dogs lie and not mess around with replacing something that seems to be working fine.  The slant won't cause any issues, right?  I'm able to intonate just fine and I get a low action, so no playability issues.  Mostly concerned about longevity or issues coming up down the road.  But I haven't had the best experience either, this is actually a replacement for another one that had its truss rod maxed out after a few months.

Ouch.... its really poor QC with Heritage !! If you have no problem with ya intonation and have no concern of the slanted post is fine...

But i personally want my guitars to look as good as it plays..

Did you mean this current guitar was a piece whom heritage got in for you replacing an earlier one with truss rod issue? 

 
It was actually Sweetwater who replaced it, since I bought from them.  But yes, the first one had a truss rod issue, this current one is a replacement for it.

 
I replaced the bridge and tailpiece on my '21 Standard with TonePros with an aluminum tailpiece. I got the standard set for a Les Paul. I didn't have to change any of the posts or anything.

 
Yep, the guitar is fine, just a slight cosmetic thing that will pester me, but it still plays and sounds great and I only noticed when I really inspected it closer than I ever would in the normal course of playing, maintenance, etc.  I think I'm going to leave everything as is and not mess with a good thing just to get the look of nickel hardware.  Thanks all for your help!

Ohh? Lol gosh i been ranting on this on mine it definately look crooked but i have not tried ya method....thx for sharing ... and the bridge i have is also marked API.... sorry just being too lazy to post pics here.... i will do it soon.

I actually reached out to Heritage support to ask them about what bridges they used.  Mike at Heritage responded:

Thanks for writing in. The bridge and tailpiece are made for us but you should be able to use any standard-sized Nashville tuneomatic and tailpiece. We have used TonePros in the past with good results.

I make a measurement check again yesterday... if ya wanna try their tighter bridge mounting kit... i kinda think the API new bridge stud well is at 7mm which is correct... you need to go with their nashville heritage i-nsert basically a tap on conversion post + well... then purchase their recommended bridge in our case a ABR1N 

I also did measurement on the heritage tailpiece post well whom i extracted out but that well insert measures 30mm which Faber offer only 21mm in length i am afraid if it will have issue when installed fully seated or halfway....

 
Hello!  There's been some updates since I last posted, and I thought it may be helpful to others to update those thread.

Turns out there was an issue with the tailpiece itself.  It had a casting error where the bass side claw was thicker than the treble side's.  Replaced it with a Gotoh aluminum bridge and studs, ended up swapping for a zinc Gotoh tailpiece as I found the aluminum too woody and bright.  Anyway, the Gotoh tailpiece fits, but it's tight.  The studs from the factory were Imperial threads and not metric.  They were also steel and full length.  The factory tailpiece itself was also steel.  Considering getting a Callaham tailpiece.  Has anyone tried one on their H-150?  I have a Faber ABR1 with the conversion studs in the mail as well, so looking forward to giving that a try.

 
The Kluson aluminum tailpiece works great and the price doesn’t break the bank. It works with the factory studs and also comes with some. There are good sellers on eBay for this part.
