Dual Amps

Those Traynors are excellent.

There's nothing like a pair of 4x12's hooked up to separate amps though. I recall a fun session with a '71 Hiwatt 50w & a '66 jtm100.

DB: having two combos is useful in case one of them has trouble, you can flip to the other one.

Are you mic'ing your amp to the PA?  if so, no need for anything other than your single combo.

If you aren't mic'ing to the PA, with two amps let the decibel wars begin with the drums, bass, and singer.

...that sounds like a rock and roll party!
Yeah, and not necessarily just loud obnoxious volume.

At low levels the sound was nice & full: both amps had slightly different sonic signatures that combined into a glorious ocean of sound.

You mean like this? Victoria Regal II and a Vox AC15 (you should have heard this sound)...

No mic’s for the amps.  Won’t be cranking either amp, but the variety in sound with the two seems glorious.  Being both amps are 1x12 combos, it’s really not a big deal…

I've been running 2 amp setups for 30 years , one clean and one more dirty .  I used a Boogie studio 22 / Peavey classic 30 for a decade and now run 2 PRS hand built single channel tube amps .. (sadly out of production) The 50w paisley is essentialy a Plexi and the blonde DG 30 is like an AC30 on steroids

Details :  Signal path :  Xotic Super Sweet boost->Fender MTG Tube Distortion-> Keely Dark side (Fuzz + Flange/Uni/phase/Delay/Rotary )->

Keeley Hooke Reverb (Uni verb/ verb/ trm verb) -> TC Stero chorus / pitch/flange -> clean out to DG30  wet out to T.Rex Quint (Octave box set to add 1 octave down and a bit of 5th ) to Blue Sierra 50

the Boss Auto wah creeps in on occasion
