GC/MF: Heritage HB-1 Bass $999.99

There was a time people were drooling over the HB1 Basses...

Looking back at them, they are kind of meh.  Unlike most Heritages, these are just a slab of mahogany.  No flame maple tops, binding, or pickguards.  Looks a bit, well, boring.

But that isn't to say it isn't a gem of a bass.  Probably lightweight, stays in tune and simply roars.

When Jim decided to make a few again I ordered a couple with maple caps. I sold one right away and kept one

for myself but it was just collecting dust. Sold that one also. They were nice basses but not much interest in them.

I would offer them $600.    Yeah, they're relatively rare, but it's not like they are highly sought after.   You won't see Geddy Lee,  Leland Sklar or Tony Levin searching them out.

Will sold his Heritage bass a few years back.   Maybe he'll tell you what he got for his.

It's a P-bass with set neck.   It's cool, but not $1000 cool to me.
