Special Invitation To New Members

Thanks for the suggestion on feedback: I'll try the countermeasures.

The strange thing is that only Ebass seems to be affected ???

Thank you for the kind invitation. I'm Fabio from Milan, the happy owner of a 2001 H-575 Classic, a 1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom (still made in the very same plant in Kalamazoo), a 1998 Parker Fly DeLuxe (converted with custom made SH-2 and SH-4 Seymour Duncan pickups), a 2004 Sadowsky Ultra Vintage Strat, a 2008 Sadowsky Semy-Hollow Model (plus a few acoustics including a 1999 Ovation Custom Legend).

I equipped the H-575 with a Schatten Design AT-02 piezoelectric bridge for acoustic amplification: it's identical to the original ebony bridge and it works just fine...

Greetings from Italy!

Hi Fabio and Welcome to the HOC ! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

By the way as you might have noticed it is customary to post some pics of your Heritage guitar, otherwise the natives do tend to get restless  ;D

Regards ...

Hi, just spotted the invite, my name is Gerry from Colwyn Bay, Wales in the UK.

I have a black H-150 which is superb and sounds like a L.. P... should sound, also an H535 in antique Cherry Sunburst which I am looking to sell on (Bought a good vintage Kalamazoo 335 which I have to admit out jazzes my particular H535).

Currently play through and old Fender Twin Reverb and until recently played through a Marshall JTM622 with extension cab. Did a tour in Poland this time last year with the old band "Kabana", now split up, but hate to admit played over there with my (Japanese Fender Strat; Seymour pickups) !! Frightened of getting my Heritages wrecked on the aircraft basically. Starting a new band, on our third weekly practise together, but reckon it is going to take a long time to get the current line-up to gel.

REgards to all for now,

Gerry

Hey guys and gals :D

My name is Jim, I'm one of the mods over on Jemsite.com, but I do play and love Heritage guitars. I have an '04 555 Custom, here's a pic:

555_1.jpg

It's chestnut burst, seth lovers, tone pros bridge and gibson style blocks in the neck all stock from the factory.

I wouldn't mind a Golden Eagle some day :D Hope to get to know you all in the near future!

peace,

jim

Welcome to the Club, Jim! That's a beauty of a 555. From the picture, it almost looks like it has bow-tie inlays. You say Gibson blocks, so I'll take that as meaning the usual inlays, but...bow-ties would kill. Regardless, beautiful guitar. Is the Ibanez an AF-105?

Thanks Dick :D Yeah, she has the square 355 style blocks in the neck. I said it was a 555 Custom, but I made a mistake on that as the sticker actually says 555 Classic. The Ibanez is a '78 FA-100, and a real nice guitar. I went through a few 175s before I lucked into that one about 10 years ago.

Hey Jim. Welcome to the HoC. Your moniker looks familiar. Did you hang out at HoC for a bit? Or BaM? Doesn't really matter. Nice group of H's you got there.

The moniker follows me everywhere ;) Here, Jemsite, the JCF, Hamer forum, Martial Talk, and probably a dozen more I can't think of. I started using it on Usenet about '89 when I got a Jem 777, and it's easy to type

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Welcome aboard the Good Ship 'HOC', Jim777!

Always good to see a fellow Ibanez fan as well.  I'm as much a nut for their high end semi-hollows as Heritages.  Never played a dud from Ibz.

Do you also post over at the Ibanez Collectors World?  I've been there off and on for many years.

And your 555 is the shizzle!  Chestnut Burst is one of my favorites...next to Golden Amber on 555's. 8)

Yeah, I' ve posted over on Ibanez Collectors World as well. Nice group of guys over there, and I do love me some Ibanez guitars :D

Hi everybody!

I have an Eagle Classic that friends of mine are just dying for me to trade in so THEY can grab it! Not gonna happen. I really joined to find out what's happening in Kalamazoo. Glad things are looking up, but it'll be better when the sawdust starts flying again. David in Florida

Dave,

Welcome to the HoC. Sawdust is flying in the old k'zoo. The boys are back at it and better than ever. New models are coming out, or more accurately, have come out. And our favorites are still being produced. Production is a'happening!

And Eagle Classic, eh? Might as well post a pic of it. Always like to see another Heritage guitar.

Welcome to the Club, Dave! Kenny is right, the boys in K'azoo have been turning boards into sawdust for quite a while. My recollection is that things were pretty dicey between July and November, but by January they were back with a vengeance.

Now...Eagle Classic...mmmmm, nice....
